My boys, aged 15 and 10, put this together in a couple of hours and then had quite a lot fun using it to shoot various objects in the garden. Instructions are excellent, with a dash of humour added, and the parts all fitted pretty well - I suggest if you buy one, use a Stanley knife rather than the suggested scissors to score the dowels (basically you get some dowelling which needs to be scored and then snapped into a number of wooden assembly pins).I don't expect that it will get a great deal more than occasional use, but it makes for a good project and looks good on the boys' shelves.

Fantastic working replica, beautifully made with clear instructions. Really fun to build and even more fun to play with. We make castles out of wooden blocks and siege the castle!I found you need 500g of weight in the box to make it fire best.

Easy to build, good instructions. Just enough glue to do all joints, so go easy.Filled weight box with lots of change to give the weight and used the putty as two balls to get better range. Throws about 10feet with 2/3 full weight. Good action, repeatable.

We got this for my son's school project and it turned out great! A few of the pre-drilled holes were on the small side, so we had to make them bigger to get the pegs to go through, but otherwise it went together pretty easy and worked great as a final product! It was fun to see how different weights affected the trebuchet's ability to throw the projectile!

This was a fun project to put together with a kid and worked well when complete. A few critical holes like the main pivot were not factory drilled and had to drill myself to complete it. Luckily had the tools and the ability but make sure to check everything before starting.
