I went with this because it was a bit cheaper than the Estes Big Bertha. It was a fine choice. The build was simple and I completed it in 24 hours without an issue. The fins were cut out of balsa and required manual positioning and gluing as expected. It uses a parachute for recovery.The launch and recovery were flawless and I would highly recommend the rocket. if I could change anything, I might modify it to take a larger D engine given the size and weight. However, I knew that it only took the smaller engines going on and was okay.

I'm rating this a three because it looks like a cool product however there are certain supplies that are not included. These supplies are listed on the package but not on the description on Amazon. For example, you need white glue, paint, and some other type of adhesive. Perhaps people who build models as a hobby are already familiar with this, but I bought this with a donation to Toys for Tots in mind, and would have liked to know ahead of time that extra materials are needed. I would suggest that this information is added to the description.
