This meat thermometer is awesome. It is made of quality materials which I appreciate in anything I buy. It has four buttons that give you a variety of options including Celsius/Fahrenheit button, a max/min button, a hold button and of course the on/off button. I like how it comes packaged in a tube so that it has a safe place to store it when I am not using it and can not worry about my children getting into the drawer that has it and finding the sharp end. It works well and is easy to insert into the meat for testing. I also received a kitchen scale with this item and I immediately put batteries in it and tested it. It does not take up very much room in my tiny kitchen and works well. I like that it can be set on different types of measurement and that it really is as sensitive as I need it to be to get the closest measurement I can when I am making my own recipes. I am so impressed with this thermometer! When I received it in the mail the box was a little big and upon opening it and had also received a free digital scale, which was awesome!. I then took the thermometer out to check it out and within seconds of turning it on it had already read the correct temperature of my house. Last night I actually got to use it with cooking and it was fast and acturate. I've had a lot of meat thermometers in the past and they were all hard to read, but this one is easy and fast! Our favorite meat thermometer died last week and I've been looking for a replacement. Ordered this one and it's better than our last! The probe is long enough we don't burn fingers and it reads fairly quickly. The kitchen scale we got with it is great for us and I love that it takes AAA batteries and not the impossible to find button batteries. The digital cooking thermometer with a Bonus scale is great. It was very easy to use. The display is a decent size and easy to read and see. There is a Celsius and Fahrenheit to use for temperature. The scale, while small, is simple to use and the display is self-explanatory. The thermometer is easy to use with a lot of different things, as I was able to use it not only while melting candy but also to check the temperature of meat while cooking it. I know that I will be using this for a lot of candy making, as it's about time for the Holiday's and I love baking!
