The Electronic Health Record for the Physician’s Office: For Simchart for the Medical Office

I ordered this book for a Medical Administrative Assistant class that I am taking. Information is very easy to understand.

Not a bad book but there were several spelling and grammar mistakes (the ehr is referred to as the ‘her’ a few times) and a few steps/pieces of information are missing from the instructions when you have to complete the tasks on Simchart. Some steps just tell you to click a certain box but don’t tell you why or what that box means. Would have been nice to know why you have to click certain boxes and why you are able to leave many sections blank. One instruction says to write the code for the ‘new’ patient’s visit in the ‘established’ patients column. Surely it goes in the new patient column!Besides the quirks it’s quite a concise book that gives a good summary for a beginner. Also the Simchart element is a really useful tool (I believe this is sold separately, I had access as part of my course)
