Informative
Megan Stone has given the reader an excellent tour of the Vatican both from a historical and geographical view. We are there at the Vatican and get a grand tour of Vatican City. We get a history lesson that is accompanied with great illustrations. For those who need a quick and easy check before visiting the Vatican, this book is the one you need to go to. Besides being informative, this book is an enjoyable read. I would check out all of the author's books. Enjoy the informative books.

Not a book for faithful Catholics
If you're a faithful Catholic, you should not buy this book for your children/grandchildren. And if you're not Catholic, then realize the author sometimes does not accurately portray the full truth of the Catholic church in this book.Although mostly benign with facts about the Vatican and the Church, it has content that is questionable. For example on page 80 the author sneaks in a criticism that women cannot be priests ("Women are still not allowed to become Catholic priests, even though other Christian religions have welcomed women as leaders. The Catholic Church is still controlled by men."). The author appears to be a non-Catholic since a Catholic would be able to articulate Apostolic succession and explain that Jesus was the model priest in his manhood but also in the men he chose as Apostles (among many other reasons why only men are priests). There is also a curious criticism that nuns don't get paid the same as parish priests which is just strange since they have different roles, take different vows, etc. There appear to be other modern feminist themes and questionable statements that are found throughout the book. I do not recommend purchasing this book.

errors in series
I have read many of the books in this series, they are well written and informative and fun. However, they could be improved with more accurate information. Each time I read one I find facts in error, which has cumulatively left a bad impression of the overall quality. Perhaps they could be edited by someone who is actually familiar with the particular subject beyond research. I will site just one example, however, I could site many from each book I have read. In the current read titled "Where is the Vatican", pp80-81 last paragraph, it reads "Nuns-women who devote ... this paragraph is obviously inaccurate to most any Catholic with even a elemental knowledge of how nuns, regular and secular priests, bishops and brothers are paid in parishes and orders. The author seems to be trying to demean the payment of nuns by incorrectly contrasting it to that of a lay (parish) priest, rather than a regular (order) priest, which would be correctly comparable and exactly the same. This is simply an ignorance of the facts, which a quick edit by any knowledgeable person could correct.
