The drape is not sewn with pleats; it is sewn flat and can be gathered by hand on a drapery rod using one of the 4 inch pole pockets (sewn on both the top and bottom of the drape). A minimum of 4 drapes are recommended per 10 foot wide span. Fabric has a usable selvedge on both sides. Fabric blocks approximately 60% of light. This estimate is approximate for use under normal conditions, and with adequate gathering (bunching). Many factors can affect the opacity, including the amount of lighting, the amount of gathering (bunching), spacing from a wall, and the overall brightness of the lighting in a room.
