WOW - Did the job fast and forever
Great product. Went on very quickly and easily. The odor was too strong for us but it went away within a half hour of opening the windows. I sealed my granite tops a month ago and the shine and protection is great. A pro finisher recommended Tenax Proseal and I know why. Forget the water based junk.

Proseal seals my granite yearly!
I had new granite countertops put in about a year ago and the company used this same product to seal them after they got my counter set. I take good care of my granite bc itโs so expensive and just to stay on top of that I decided I would reseal them again, not necessarily bc they needed it but just to be proactive and protect them. Proseal is easy to apply with a rag although the vapor is very strong. Make sure to clean your granite first with rubbing alcohol and let dry. I would also recommend a fan nearby and open those windows to help ventilate. There is plenty solution left over to reapply for the next 2 years. Store is cool dry place and youโre good to go!

Very Good Product; Easy to Use
I used this product for a first-time attempt at sealing my year-old marble. It was easy to use. The viscosity is much like water and it doesn't take much product to get good coverage over the marble surface. I used microfiber cloths to spread it on and another clean one to wipe it off and leave the marble shiny and smooth. I left the marble dry overnight and have been well pleased with the results. As I am not usually much for such DIY projects, I'm glad I took the time to clean and seal the marble in accord with several sets of directions I read and watched on U-Tube. I was careful and deliberate and the project turned out very well. I saved money in doing so, too.

Granite Countertop Sealer
Product is easy to use by brushing it on a clean granite surface. Only mild complaint I have is the directions are not as clear regarding how long to let the soaked surface cure, nor how generously to apply it. After giving it about 90 minutes to dry. I wiped off any excess and buffed the surface with a soft cloth. Use only in a ventilated space, (open window with good airflow), as the product is solvent based. I would buy this again.

It looked horrible. It's a dark gray and there were near ...
The granite countertop used in our upstairs bathroom renovation was not sealed correctly. Water soaked through and left water marks in, not on, the stone. It looked horrible. It's dark gray and there were near black dots and rings all over the place. Toothpaste residue which dried would not come up entirely even with a strong scrubbing. I've never had this happen on our kitchen or downstairs bathroom granite. After researching different sealants, I saw a lot of good talk about Proseal and decided to try it out. For one, there is a chemical smell but I didn't find it to be that bad. I used 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean off the top first and that was eye burning and reeked to high heaven. The Proseal was not as strong and we didn't even open a window. The odor was gone in a couple of hours and wasn't overwhelming anyway. I also didn't mind it to begin with but I also like the smell of gasoline so. Prep work, as mentioned, was with alcohol and also a glass cleaner. I didn't worry too much about the glass cleaner being that I wiped everything down with plain water afterward and then let it dry thoroughly before applying the sealer. I applied three coats of Proseal using a microfiber towel. I let each coat try for 10 minutes before reapplying. Afterward, the countertop had a nice even shine to it which I was not expecting as this is not advertised as polish. I've tested it with water, which now beads and evaporates from the surface. The sealant seems to be a success. I need to go back and buff the top with a dry rag because the sealing rag left fine streaks everywhere. That's my technique, not the product, and an easy fix. I will be using this periodically on the rest of our countertop. I will also update this review with any new information such as sealant effect only lasting for a week or something like that. So far, so good. **Update - 10/7/20** The sealer is not as great as I thought. We still get water stains and the granite still ends up looking dull as water sits on it, toothpaste gets spilled, etc. I think the issue is that it was simply not sealed correctly from the very beginning, and probably nothing will fix it. The other slab we got from the same company is perfect, so luck of the draw, I guess. The sealer seems to help with making things look nice and shiny and waxed when I wipe the granite down with a wet cloth, so there is some improvement, but there are still dark water spots that show up in the granite indicating it's not fully sealed and it doesn't stay shiny for long.

This works very well on grout
We've been using Tenax products for sealants for some time, specifically the Ager. Recently I needed to seal some grout. Though sealing grout is a messy job whatever sealant brand one uses, I found Proseal to be no more difficult than any other sealant. It's a penetrating sealant, and I applied it to the grout on our backsplash with a small paintbrush - wiping the tiles every few minutes, allowed it to dry overnight, and applied a second coat the next day. It dries fairly quickly - in about an hour or two it disappears, and there is no darkening or discoloration of the grout. Although it's difficult to make grout entirely stain resistant, we found Proseal to do an excellent job in sealing for general purposes.

Professional Quality
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Same product the stone installer used when we did a kitchen renovation. We use it twice a year, you need good ventilation when using!

Stain Proof Your Granite!
This sealer is all of the insurance you need to seal & prevent stains from penetrating your beautiful new granite counter tops. It comes in a solvent or water base option. The solvent based mix will give you better penetration & last longer but has the fumes to contend with. Just open your windows and the smell doesn't last very long. There are a couple of good You Tube video's on how to apply it if you need some guidance.
