One of the most requested splatbooks
Fly Casual has to be high on the list of what the EotE gamers have wanted. Smugglers are here now.New races - Falleen, Gotal, Quarren. I'm rather happy with this selection. In case you are curious about the Falleen - Beguiling Pheromones "By emitting pheromones and altering their skin color, Falleen can affect emotional states of other sentients. Once per check as an incidental, a Fallen may suffer 2 strain to upgrade the ability of a Charm, Deception, or Negotiation check against a living being within short range once. This ability has no effect on targets wearing breath masks or without respiratory systems."New specs - Charmer (big smile!), Gambler and Gunslinger (who doesn't like a Quarren in a trenchcoat). Gunslingers really designed to ride dual wielding.Signature abilities - Narrow Escape and Unmatched Fortune. Narrow Escape - this looks really good for a small group, as you can increase the number allies that you can use it on.There a number of new guns and other items, including the Smuggler's Trenchcoat. Vibrorapier! As you would expect, we have starships!XG-1 Star Wing Assault Gunboat. One of my favorite ships of all time. Heck, I would have picked it up for just this.Imperial Customs FrigateVT-49 Decimator (Gah!)CEC WUD-500 Star YachtStarlight Light FreighterYKL-37R Nova CourierBaudo Star YachtMobquet Medium TransportGozanit Armed TransportCorellispace Gymsnor-3 Light FreighterCorellispace Gymsnor-4 Light FreighterCEC HWK-1000 (rather a status symbol to have one of these)YT-2000Interdictor Heavy Cruiser (think this is in another book as well)Golan I Space Defense Platform(only 26M credits)Want a built in autopilot or astrogation droid brain? Fly Casual has you covered. Some neat starship attachments to help with smuggling.More details for running smuggling jobs and traveling. More information on spending results for Astrogation checks. It's the smuggler book, so Han has to be in it. And he is. As wall art on page 16.Oddly, this has some of my least favorite art in the book. The Twi'lek on page 90 is more cheesecakey, but it does fit with the character.Even has rules for playing Hintaro.I really think this is one of the best content books put out. Must get.

Should have bought sooner!
I can't sum up how much value both as a player and as a GM this book is. Totally helps whether your trying to develop heist themed sessions (which i find hard to make consistently enjoyable and this has helped) develop awesome roughish PCs/NPCs to help or hinder the group. Lots of cool tech to help in that area and i love the motivations section to simply help dial down the role play aspect of what it actually means to be a smuggler.

Why buy this? It's fun!
Why buy this? I have played the Star Wars rpg from Fantasy Flight only a few times over the last few years. So it is was not something I really needed, however, I have COMPLETLY enjoyed reading this book. When playing characters in an rpg, they often seem completely foriegn to me. I wouldn't know how a smuggler thinks or acts, I've never met one (that I know of.) This book is designed to give you insight into that character. The tools, ships, locations and motivations that influence a smuggler are all explained in detail (with interesting artwork!) By reading this book I felt I got some real insight into the mind of Han Solo and other scum and villiany in the Star Wars movies. It was kind of a 'behind the scenes' look. So by reading this book I was not only informed about the game I actually learned something real about smuggling and that sort of lifestyle. I have come to the conclusion I would make a horrible smuggler in real life, but I am now intrigued about playing one in the Star Wars universe.

I've been meaning to check out a source book for EOTE for a while, so when I saw this for $9 I knew it would be the perfect time. Having only a small amount of experience with Fantasy Flight and their RPG products, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Just like the main rule book for edge of the empire the art in this book is great. The actual crunch seems decent, though I haven't looked through it all that closely, but what I liked most was the back section. It offered all sorts of rules, information and suggestions for game masters to help integrate smuggling into their game. I'm hoping my players are interested in smuggling in my next campaign, because this looks like it will be great for that. If I were a player I don't know how much I would have liked this, but as a GM this is great.

Be Han Solo
This is one of the best supplements for the game. The hints to rules alone are a great value. One game session ended up mostly gaming that.

Great supplement. Even if your playing Age of Rebellion or starting Force and Destiny, this book has plenty of useful stuff and ideas for your Star Wars game. The great thing about this series, is that all the books can be used with each game. Though a few things, like species, are reprinted in other books between the series.

Great Supplement!
Very good addition to the game. This was a book that any smuggler fan HAS to own. It has certainly been passed around at the gaming table here!

Smugglers
For all your smuggling needs. This book, combined with Lords of Nal Hutta, are probably the most useful non-core books Fantasy Flight Games has produced for Star Wars.
