Thoughts after 6 months....
I've had my double-stack water storage tanks for just over six months now, so I'm speaking from a little more experience than "I just received my barrels and they look great!" Here's what I've noticed:1) They came decently packaged (plastic wrap on a pallet), but they did have a couple bumps and bruises. I don't blame the manufacturer as much as I do the delivery company. I saw how the pallet was stored in the back of the truck and how he removed it. Thankfully it's all cosmetic and doesn't affect performance in the least.2) Wash the interior of the barrels before thinking about filling them. I used a diluted solution of bleach-to-water, roughly one cup of bleach to one gallon of water per barrel. It's overkill, but I found the barrels to have a slight odor on the inside and didn't want that to potentially transfer to the water. I dumped the solution in, sealed the cap, and gently rolled the barrels around (so the spigots wouldn't be adversely affected) to get complete coverage. I did this for roughly 5 minutes per barrel. Afterward, rinsed them out. The smell was gone.3) While not heavy, the individual barrels are bulky. Getting them through doorways and downstairs by myself wasn't terrible, it just takes a tiny bit of core strength.4) Be sure to buy some quality water preserver before you fill. Also make sure you have enough for your ~320 gallons of water, plus additional if you plan on any form of water rotation.5) Depending on where you store your barrels, as in my situation being in the basement, you may want to also invest in a solid, high-volume water pump. I purchased this from Amazon as well: "SuperHandy Water Transfer Pump Utility 1/2 HP 1525 GPH Dual Thread 3/4" Inch GHT 40' Feet Head Lift". That has enough head to get the water up and out the basement window in the event I need to empty the tanks quickly. Hoses are also necessary, obviously.6) These have held up perfectly, each holding their max volume, without a single leak or drip from any of the fittings. I've also tested the ball valve spigots, and they work flawlessly. In closing, I would definitely recommend these water storage barrels for long term water storage.

Water when needed
Two 160 gal. delivered on skids a week ahead of schedule in good shape. Easy enough for one person to move around and setup. Set tanks next to each other on garage concrete floor upon thick cardboard. No assembly needed and just filled them up with water. Spigots appear to be of good materials as are tanks themselves. The supplied hose is good, also. Very satisfied with tanks and glad to have ready available water if and when needed. Recommend.

FITTINGS ARE GARBAGE!
Paying $1400 for (2) 160 gallon tanks is bad enough, for them to be defective it’s even worse. I HATE leaving bad reviews but I just had a very miserable time as one of the two tanks is leaking. It’s the top fitting, of course by the time you noticed you have already filled more than 50-60 galllons of water. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I did not want to believe the reviews on leaking but they are true. Apparently there is no QUALITY ASSURANCE. IM SO PISSTED OFF. AND THE WORST THING IS THAT AMAZON WONT DO ANYTHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

Absolutely must clean & rinse before use !
Filled up several times and still had small pieces of plastic floating on the inside. Added a small amount of bleach & water - carefully rolled around to stir all plastic particles on the inside & turned upside down to drain. Filled tank And drained completely twice afterwards. Also took a power washer to the inside to rinse thoroughly. After filling a final time there is no debris and all is well. Be prepared to spend some time cleaning before use.

In todays world, you need a backup water supply. These are outstanding!
You need to have 65 5 gallon water bottles to equal this. This just takes up 4x4 ft in garage stacked. Dont put direct on concrete put a sheet plywood. If a hot garage in desert, should change water once a year, but hot water is safe. Recommend a berkly filter it can clean even pool water to a degree. Only complaint is valves were not protected in shipment they broke through cardboard. If shipper would put some foam over valve could save future problems. But they did make it in perfect condition. These are the best for storage saving solution. Drums are cheaper, but these are stackable with top fill and side valves. 100% ready to go. Highly recommend.

Great value - definite peace of mind
We ordered 4 of these water tanks and are not disappointed that we did. They don't leak, they arrived in perfect condition. The driver helped to offload from the pallet and took away the excess packaging. We decided not to stack these and they actually are very attractive lined up in a row. Easy to clean, easy to set up, no leaking and perfect for our needs. We did decide to cover them with a tarp doubled over to protect the water from the elements. Trying to decide if we need to buy more.....

Quality water storage
These are exactly what I was looking for. They are quality water storage tanks. They were packaged in two separate cardboard cartons in pristine condition. There is almost no smell of plastic inside as other customers have noted. These arrived in perfect condition and look like they will last for years.
