All good!
The leaves are very nice. No issues with mold or bugs, I looked really hard because of the reviews from other brands. There’s no stems or twigs. Just leaves. They turn the water a pretty red. They tase just like they should.

Sheer goodness, although a bit tart
I heard so much about this tea. I just had to try it! I made a great purchase it's a pleasant aroma, once steeped the aroma is beautiful. This was originally purchased as a hair growth treatment. However, it can be used for more than tea. Also good for digestive purposes. So try it, you can't miss with Hibiscus!!!

Amazing for blood pressure.
Wow, this stuff is amazing. I've been struggling with blood pressure on and off for a while. I've been on a couple different meds and all caused nasty side effects (lisinopril had me coughing up blood!). I've been working with a holistic MD on more natural remedies but still strugglng. Then two weeks ago I was in an auto accident and got taken to the ER (severe right-side pains, but nothing broken, they suspect mainly just muscle damage). At the ER they took my BP and it was 200/100! They thought I would drop dead on the spot. By the time I was ready to be discharged it has "dropped" to 187/95 which still had them unhappy. When I got home I began reading more about blood pressure remedies and somehow stumbled upon hibiscus tea. I decided to oder this bag. I had to wait for it a couple days of course, even with Prime, so in the meantime took a baseline BP reading at home - 180/95, depressingly close to the last hospital reading.Anyway, the tea came. I have a small teapot that holds 2-3 cups of tea (depending on cup size) and I make a full pot with a rounded tbsp of the hibiscus. After 3-4 days I found my BP readings were now in the 156/86 to 153/80 range. Wow, big difference. Another week went by and now my readings are in the 135/75 to 127/69 range. I'm rather dumbfounded. I'm the sort of person for whom these "miracle" cures other people talk about usually do nothing at all. But in this case I can hardly believe the drop. This is only two weeks' worth of data of course, so it's only 'so far so good". Will have to keep drinking the tea and see what happens down the road.10/23/14: Just an update after four months. I love the taste of this tea and still drink a cup or two every day. My BP has continued to drop. I was on vacation in July without the tea and it shot back up to 167/98! Began the tea again when I got back home and it dropped in days to 138/86. The longer I stay on it religiously the more the numbers drop. Numbers for last few days were 115/69, 122/72, 119/70, 127/73. 125/74, 118/70.So this is a win-win for me since I love the taste also - a bit on the tart side, rather like unsweetened cranberries. But I've never been able to stand sweet tea or coffee, so perfect for me.

love the hibiscus flowers
I've gotten the one pound bag of Davidson's hibiscus flowers c/s a few times from Amazon and it has been great. A very beautiful looking product that makes a lovely, dark red, tangy tasting herbal tea. I mix it with Celestial Seasonings Tangerine Zinger and Bengal Spice for a citrus-spice flavor. This last time I ordered, I was accidentally sent Assam black tea because the bag had a barcode sticker on it (from the Amazon warehouse I'm guessing) that was for the hibiscus flowers. It's not returnable, but I was able to chat with a very helpful Amazon customer service guy and get a refund (and told to keep/donate the black tea).
