It has 3 levels of light, most of the time we used the middle one because the highest one was really bright. It has the convenient handle to hang it to the tent, is light weight; it has a great size and the batteries lasted a long time (5 days camping and never changed the batteries). Recommended!

My niece in Hawaii recommended it to me, as they live on the black lava and did not have electricity for awhile, now they have solar panels, but she said this is a great lamp, she can even put her makeup on with it! Thanks, sort of a vicarious rating, as i looked at many of the GE lanterns on desertcart, but with such rave reviews from my niece, i know it must be for real, so, i'm glad we got it, and the price was right, as well! Thanks desertcart!

I did a lot of research before deciding for this lantern to take on a camping trip. I have to said this exceeded my expectations. Very good product, great light. It has 3 levels of light, most of the time we used the middle one because the highest one was really bright. It has the convenient handle to hang it to the tent, is light weight; it has a great size and the batteries lasted a long time (5 days camping and never changed the batteries). Recommended!

It appears that this lamp will be useful in the event that we lose electricity, i like the 3 settings, and brighter than i thought!
