Update: I just received a replacement candle for free, that I didn’t ask for or expect. This was a welcome surprise. This candles scent is slightly stronger while burning but is still fairly faint. To clarify, I don’t expect the whole house to smell like this candle, but I do expect the room it’s in to be noticeable.Original review: Bought for my wife as a gift. Match striker and matches are top notch. Candle smelled great, but once lit you can’t smell it at all. Might as well be an unscented candle. If you get your nose right over it, you can detect the scent. Might just be a bad batch, but I expected more.

I love this little match holder/striker. I may buy one for each bathroom but want to give it a little more time before I pull the trigger because I noticed after several months of use, it seems like I have to strike a match multiple times to get it to light. Not sure if that’s normal or if the pottery has limited use.I didn’t mind paying the price to have a pretty, custom piece versus a box of matches sitting on my toilet, but if the “strike ability” wears down over time that will be disappointing. For now, it still works after about 5 months and the candle that came with it had a beautiful scent. I have some chemical sensitivities but that candle didn’t trigger for me. Overall very happy. Four stars is only because when I got it, one strike did the trick and now I need to strike it several times.

The package arrived beautifully arranged as a gift set. The match striker is very cute. It is much smaller than appears in listing photos. 1.5 inches tall. I really like the aesthetic of the candle, striker and matches set. I am not thoroughly pleased with the distance range of the scent. I did not expect to smell it all over the house, but I can only smell the candle while sitting at the table it is on. Even then, it is faint. It is more fragrant while not burning. I do understand it is soy and the packaging mentions they have used the maximum scent soy will allow. However, this is a scented candle and the sole purpose is to enjoy the scent. This may deter me from purchasing another candle in the future. For the price, I expect quality aesthetics and quality product.

This is such a quality product. The candle is well made, has a wonderful scent and burns very nicely. The match striker is so cute and works really well. This is such a unique and useful gift idea for someone special.

Cute Valentine’s Day gift. The cucumber melon candle is 🔥 and the match striker is a nice functional decoration. Huge fan, definitely worth more than what you’re paying.
