OMG, this black rice is fantastic, delicious and what it does for regular old homemade chicken soup is simply so surprising and uniquely inspiring that turns my dish into a gourmet dish. Be sure to add it to soups, stews and see what happens. It elevates chicken into something akin to center cut pork, or something nice, altering with a entire dish converging into something people will find yummy, uniquely special and kind of toasted heat that wakes up the flavors of ever vegetable, meat, and broth casting a dark indigo coating on everything. Tastes amazing!

Oh my! I’ve quit eating brown rice bc of its arsenic issue. White rice is ok, but bland and has a high glycemic rating.**This** rice?? It’s delicious, it’s not de-germed or stripped of its bran, and it’s a gorgeous color. Its more of a really really deep purple, but the cooking water is definitely a translucent black. Its eye appeal is doubled when combined with red or yellow peppers, corn, & light-colored or bright veggies, or beans like garbanzos, navy beans, or black-eyed peas.And did I say it’s delicious? It has a hearty flavor and texture. My dinner guests always love it!

What I liked about this rice is the texture. For so.e reason I had it in my that this is probably gonna have a weird taste and texture. I'm here to tell you that this rice taste exactly like rice. It's my new favorite better than brown rice in my opinion and the health benefits is an added bonus.

A little pricey but delicious.

This rice is both nutritious and tastes delicious. It has a nutty flavor about it. I add a bit of salt and a TBL of butter while cooking. I tried another brand of forbidden rice and honestly could tell right away that the quality and taste flavor was not in the same league at all as this brand.

Lotus Foods Black Rice is very good. I wish it came in a bigger size because it was all gone after 2 cups of cooked rice. It's good though, it's a good, unusual, tasty food.
