If under age of 18 do not use without adult supervision. Review: Bow nice, accessories not so much. - Shot the bow one time after assembling. Shot high and to the right, as expected. Attempting to pull it back for a second shot later that day, the rope cocker broke at the hook, at half cock. This caused dry fire and caused the rope cocker to go flying. We’re lucky no one was injured. Will update on the bow when I buy a new rope cocker. I hope this isn’t a sign for how the rest of the bow goes. Edited Review: After buying a new pull cocking rope and trying again, I am updating this review. The pull rope breaking was very unfortunate and painful, but the bow itself shoots exceptionally well. I got it sighted in with 5 shots. Lubricated the string and rail and I’m grouping less than 2” at 60 yards. This bow will definitely be putting food on the table this year. Review: Killer Instinct is Killer Fun - This is my first crossbow. I am so completely ecstatic about this crossbow! It wasn't too difficult to assemble, I just took my time in doing it. I mean, with something that shoots this fast, you want to make sure everything is put together right and tight. Was pretty nervous about the first time cocking and shooting it but it didn't take anytime to start really being able to enjoy it. This Boss 405 is so amazingly fast! Watching my son shoot it, I could only see a flash of the bolt flying through the air. It is a little heavy on the front but for what you pay for this thing, build you some muscle. It's really not that bad. My son and I are not muscled up brutes and both of us are enjoying the heck out of it. Speaking of that, if you want to connect or reconnect with a son or daughter, I highly recommend this. Once I got it put together, we literally spent a couple hours outside in the backyard shooting the target. We probably shot it 50 - 60 times the first day. So much fun! We do have plans on buying a crank to cock it just because he would feel more comfortable cocking it that way. I'm 6'3 so I had no problems using the rope but if your shorter, you may need to adjust the knot in the rope to be able to cock it. Overall, super satisfied! Oh, when reading the reviews, don't let the one or two stars scare you away from this crossbow. I mean, with as many that are made, I'm sure there is always going to be a lemon here or there. Anyway, buy this thing, you will be glad you did! ## Features - POWER & SPEED: This crossbow delivers exceptional performance with blazing speeds up to 405 FPS with 134 ft-lb of kinetic energy for hard-hitting performance on small to large game, ideal for both hunting and target shooting. - LIGHTWEIGHT & COMPACT: Weighing only 6.7 lbs, the BOSS 405 is built for mobility with a 14.75″ cocked width and an adjustable 33.5–36" overall length, perfect for tight hunting spaces. - CUSTOM FIT & CONTROL: The 6-position adjustable stock and X-Lok foregrip provide a tailored fit for enhanced comfort, control, and accuracy across a wide range of shooter sizes. - PRECISION ENGINEERED: The Micro‑Lite aluminum barrel helps keep the crossbow light and easy to handle, giving you better balance and smoother aim whether you're in a blind, treestand, or out in the field. - BUILT TO LAST: Includes a 4×32 IR scope, rope cocker, quiver, three HYPR Lite bolts, rail lube, and string dampeners, backed by Killer Instinct's limited lifetime warranty (non-wearable parts, original owner). ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B084WPWTBM | | Archery Draw Length | 33.13 inches | | Archery Draw Weight | 220 pounds | | Best Sellers Rank | #22,398 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #6 in Archery Crossbows | | Brand | Killer Instinct | | Brand Name | Killer Instinct | | Color | black | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 1,020 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00859826007423 | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Included Components | Item | | Item Type Name | bows | | Item Weight | 5 pounds | | Manufacturer | Killer Instinct | | Manufacturer Part Number | MSCKI-1104 | | Material | Aluminum, Rubber, Synthetic, Metal | | Material Type | Aluminum, Rubber, Synthetic, Metal | | Model Name | Killer Instinct BOSS 405 Camo Crossbow - 405 FPS Compact Hunting Package with Micro‑Lite Barrel, 4×32 IR Scope & Accessories Model Name Killer Instinct BOSS 405 Camo Crossbow - 405 FPS Compact Hunting Package with Micro‑Lite Barrel, 4×32 IR Scope & Accessories See more | | Model Number | 1104 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Size | Base Package | | Team Name | Combat | | UPC | 859826007423 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Killer Instinct - **Color:** black - **Material:** Aluminum, Rubber, Synthetic, Metal - **Team Name:** Combat ## Images ![Killer Instinct Boss 405 Crossbow Pro Package with 4x32 IR-W Scope, Rope Cocker, String Suppressors, 3-Bolt Quiver, 3 Hypr Lite Bolts and Field Tips, Stick of Rail Lube - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7196T9ZLK5L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would this be a good buy for a beginner?** A: The Boss 405 would be a great choice for a beginner! **Q: Can I use this for hunting deer?** A: Yes, it will deliver a kill shot. **Q: Whats the maximum effective range for this weapon?** A: Well that's a good question. It depends on many factors. The weight of the bolts you are using is probably the main factor. I used the bolts that came with the bow and it's very accurate and effective at 30 to 40 yards depending on wind. Haven't tried heavier bolts with heavier grain heads. I hope this helps. **Q: What is the maximum effective range of this weapon?** A: Maximum effectiveness for this Crossbow is 60 yards ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bow nice, accessories not so much. *by T***. on August 20, 2025* Shot the bow one time after assembling. Anyway, buy this thing, you will be glad you did! ### ⭐ Never again *by L***S on December 1, 2020* Huge disappointment for this crossbow. Got it in and assembled and after 2 shots the pistol grip fell off. Customer support took care of that by sending a new stock got it in and sighted it in then after roughly 15 shots a limb cracked. Again customer support sends me the limbs and I had to find a shop to put them on which came out of my pocket. Now after 2 hours of being outside the coating on the limbs had crumbled and flaked off. Not worth the headache I've had with it. Others seem to have had better luck but I unfortunately have not. Contacted the seller and they told me to contact the manufacturer because they can't do anything about it. Won't buy from these guys again. Its on the heavy side to me. Fairly accurate and really powerful when its not broken. Overall my opinion is spend a bit more and find something better. It comes with a lifetime warranty and for me I'm already having to use it more then I should. Not sure what will happen with the limps peeling I just reached out to customer service about it today to we will see where that leads. ## Frequently Bought Together - KILLER INSTINCT Boss 405 Crossbow Pro Package with 4x32 IR-W Scope, Rope Cocker, String Suppressors, 3-Bolt Quiver, 3 Hypr Lite Bolts and Field Tips, Stick of Rail Lube - REEGOX Crossbow Bolts 16/18/20 inch Bio Crossbow Arrows with Moon Nocks and Removable Tips (Pack of 12) - Sinbadteck Hunting Broadheads, 12PK 3 Blades Archery Broadheads 100 Grain Screw-in Arrow Heads Arrow Tips Compatible with Traditional Bows and Compound Bow --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/187180222-killer-instinct-boss-405-crossbow-pro-package-with-4x32-ir](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/187180222-killer-instinct-boss-405-crossbow-pro-package-with-4x32-ir) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
