Best Imitation Green Irish Tweed I've Ever Found!!
My all time favorite men's fragrance is Green Irish Tweed (GIT) by Creed. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to afford paying $300+ for a single bottle of my favorite cologne, so I'm forced to look for alternatives. And although I've tried numerous imitation fragrances that closely mimic GIT (including Cool Water by Davidoff), none of them hold a candle to Tres Nuit Pour Homme by Armaf. Having already tried Club De Nuit by Armaf (an excellent imitation of Creed Aventus), I'm not surprised at how close this fragrance resembles GIT. Armaf just seems to have cornered the market on good imitation fragrances, even if that wasn't their original intent. It should be noted that, in addition to being an imitation fragrance, Tres Nuit Pour Homme is also an Eau de Toilette (or "EdT"). This means it contains more denatured alcohol and water but fewer aromatic compounds (i.e. fragrance oils). As a result, this fragrance doesn't last as long and requires more sprays to be effective than Green Irish Tweed (which is an Eau de Parfum, or "EdP" and contains more oil). Nevertheless, Tres Nuit Pour Homme still smells AMAZING; it's both appealing and easy to apply, while also a great value for the price and what I'd call a truly "authentic imitation" (despite that being an oxymoron). I'm certain I will buy it again whenever I start running low on my current bottle.

Fresh, classy and way better than expected
I bought this without expecting much, and honestly, I was really impressed. Right from the first spray, you get a fresh, green, citrusy vibe that feels super clean and perfect for warm weather or everyday use. It reminds me a bit of Green Irish Tweed or Cool Water, but with its own unique twist.Longevity is moderate — it lasted around 5 hours on my skin, and a bit longer on clothes. The projection is noticeable for the first hour, then it sits closer to the skin, which I actually like because it’s not overwhelming. The bottle feels solid and looks nice, and the sprayer works great. For the price, this is a hidden gem. I’d definitely buy it again and recommend it if you’re looking for a fresh, masculine scent that won’t break the bank.

Good look, great smell and overall great value
I love the bottle, I love the scent (my wife is crazy about it) and it lasts a lot longer than I expected. It is a aromatic spicy fragrance for men with top notes of iris, lemon and vervain; the middle notes are lavender, violet and the spicy notes; the base notes are Ambergris and Sandalwood.

Nice fragrance with Violet top notes, good scent, great value
As far as the scent goes: it's quite nice: I like it but can't say I love it. For me the scent of Violet flowers predominates early. For me it's more Floral than any of the old-school Masculine colognes I grew up wearing in the 80s.So at first I was finding the scent to be "nice but maybe too feminine for me" but after a few weeks it has grown on me quite a bit.I got it because I thought it might make a good Springtime scent, and I've heard it's a very good Green Irish Tweed clone, so I was curious to see if it's good enough to wear instead of spending $200 or whatever on GIT. I figure I'll get a sample of GIT at some point and compare the two. Some people are mentioning lemon, but I'm definitely not getting the impression of a lemony opening like my bottle of vintage 4711 gives me.Nor am I getting anything like the big neroli opening my sample of Terre d'Hermes Fraiche gave me. According to the ingredients on the box, there's citral, citronellol, and limonene in it, so I assume I should be smelling more citrus scent than I am, but for whatever reason it's not obvious to me.As far as Tres Nuit's comparison to Cool Water, I really don't get that. And I say that as the owner of a bottle of Vintage Cool Water.(Btw, the word Davidoff is written in the same italic font that the words Cool Water are written in on the vintage bottles. Davidoff is written in ALL CAPS on the modern bottles. You can find the vintage bottles on eBay if you hunt around a bit, and they're better than the modern version).I could never confuse Tres Nuit with vintage Cool Water. For starters I don't really notice the Violet in the Cool Water and that's actually the main thing I notice in Tres Nuit. In fact if I hadn't read about the similarities it never would have occurred to me that they are any.For me vintage Cool Water smells like more of a fougere-style "green" scent and more "me" and "masculine" than Tres Nuit does. And frankly I prefer it by quite a bit. But then I'm in my 40s so the culture of my youth that might be why I feel that why. That isn't to say Tres Nuit is a bad scent -- it's not. It's actually quite nice. And I do wear it sometimes. But like all fragrances, it's not for everyone. The initial impression is the projection is decent-to-good. I've noticed some scents don't last too long on my middle-aged skin, which is noticeably drier than it was in my youth, and living in the coastal desert of LA for so long doesn't help. I discovered that some of my fragrances which I had thought had weak longevity (like Varvatos Vintage) actually last a long time on my clothes (overnight or longer). So the next time you think a scent is under-performing, you might want to try spraying it on your shirt and see if you can still smell it there in the morning. If you can, then its longevity is actually fine, and you might want to try applying a moisturizer before spraying on your favorite fragrance, because they last longer on moist skin.Packing/Presentation:I was pleased to see the bottle was weighty and solid (even the cap)Btw, my bottle is indeed blue, but it's such a dark blue that it looks almost black unless there's a strong light on it or better yet shining through it.Packing was good. The back of the bottle says "fragrance made in France" in small print (along with the manufacturing date: 2017 for mine). The leather casing has more writing on the bottom which proclaims it's an EDT. The box it came in says it's 80% alcohol.Blind buys are always a bit of a crapshoot, so if you can try before you buy then that's obviously the smarter choice. But if you can't find any to try, and you can pick this up for just $25-$35 you can't go too far wrong, now can you?If you don't like it and can't return it, just give it away -- if you got this as a gift you would assume this cost at least $50.I got mine for about $25 from Hammad's Bargains, who shipped it quickly and packaged it well.

Worth the money
Don’t smell the GIT tweed but it smells fresh and citrusy, sillage is noticeable in close proximity, definitely is worth the price, lasts around half of the day on skin and a little longer on clothes, and it’s worth the money.

Awesome Spring clean frag!
This is a great scent! Great value for what you pay! It has good staying power as it will go around 6 hours before turning into a skin scent, sillage is about 4 feet until then. This stuff is as good as affordable colognes get. Honestly side by side w/ Green Irish Tweed it's better, at least the violet note is better, it's cleaner and less synthetic, which is the star of both fragrances anyways. It also skips the grass note in the opening I'm not fond of in GIT. Great option for a spring time scent. Its best to go kind of light especially if you re-apply, as it's pretty powerful stuff! Like seriously 2 on the chest and one on the back of the neck your all set lol. It will receive you many compliments that is for sure!
