I always watch Youtube reviews on colognes before I buy since you don't really have a way of knowing what its going to smell like. It's a good trade-off. In department stores the selection is limited and expensive, which means not only are you going to smell like every guy out there chasing the popular brand colognes but you're overpaying as well.I've had very good luck with the Armaf scents and they're always reasonably priced, smell good and last long. I was looking for something unique that I could use for formal occasions that required a jacket, etc;. This scent Shades Wood is A1 perfect, this is not your wear to work or everyday in the grocery store kind of scent. It smells expensive and the complexities leave impressions of class and sophistication. It's slightly sweet but not too overpowering, I'll leave the comparisons to cheese, wood and fruit to the Youtubers but this is definitely a put on a clean shirt kind of scent. Most importantly this is a ONE SQUIRT cologne any more than that and you risk setting off the fire sprinklers. Lasts for days, still smell it plainly on shirts I wore from days ago. Shades Wood is a very nice addition to my collection, I will be repurchasing when I run out.

You know I read multiple reviews for this cologne and had high high hopes for this. Boy, was my boyfriend and I disappointed. It’s very strong but not in a good way. We like other sprays by this brand but something about this one in particular just isn’t doing it.

This is a manly, woodsy to spicy scent, with a subtle sweetness. Great projection and very long lasting. You don't knock people out smelling like everyone else with the in your face oud notes and you are not walking around smelling like a pack of salted caramel hard candy either. It's nice and balanced. It will stay on your clothes which is fine if you like that, spray it on your clothes. If you do not want your suit jacket smelling like a mosh of your top 3-4 fragrances, do not spray it on the clothes. This one will stick. I spray it on before getting dressed and it still projects just fine, and just enough. Gets plenty of compliments, and that seems to be important to people reading fragrance reviews. Excellent value in my opinion.

Bought it for my hubby. Both my husband and I likeit a lot. It’s for him, not me just to be clear but it sure is nice smelling on him. Smells expensive. Complex. Great price. Note that this is not for the basic axe spray wearers…. This is for people who can appreciate a unique, high-end cologne. Will see how long it lasts, but first impression is great. Will update if it seems to fade quick.

I'm glad this was a inexpensive purchase, because after initiating a return, Amazon only gave me the option for support from the manufacturer, not a refund. I'm not interested in support, I only wanted a refund for a poor product description. I gave it a test spray on my arm to see how it reacts with my chemistry, and even after aging a bit, it has no hint of sandalwood, oud, or any other type of wood. I'm going to throw this bottle of feminine smelling fragrance in the trash. For a similar amount of money I can buy a bottle of Lagerfeld, which has a long lasting and masculine scent, whether it's considered woody, woodsy, or anything like that.

I have never smelled anything like it in my entire life.... and I have owned dozens of colognes. This one is so strange, it reminds me off a funeral home, then a wood work shop, then hours after a rose garden. It creeps me out literally.... plus even after 24 hours it still smells on you.I just find it fascinating to smell like once in a while, not to wear, just to smell the atomizer and put it back far away. You should buy this just for the strangeness of it, or as a collector.This is the weirdest cologne ever...................... I don't love it, yet I don't hate it nor in between... I'm just puzzled by ..... Do I think it's money's worth? Hell YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
