This item is gorgeous. I originally purchased this wall hanging to hang outside on my front porch. After receiving it and seeing it I knew there was no way it was going outside. It is now hanging in my house to be admired daily. I commend the Haitians who obviously take great pride in their work. They certainly have created a work of art. Thank you!

Wow, I loved this when I saw it on Amazon. I loved it even more once I got it and opened it. Being of Irish decedent I really l Iiked the fact that it was a Celtic Inspired design. It is so much more beautiful in person. If you are reading this and wondering if it is worth the price I'm here to say to yes. The details are amazing. Knowing that it something that is recycled makes it more beautiful in my eyes. What a wonderful second life for a plain steel drum! There is so much detail in this that it is hard to believe that it is all handmade. Truly a piece of art. It is wonderful to support someone who could really use the money.

This piece is exquisite. I purchased it for the waiting room of my acupuncture clinic. It is surprisingly lightweight (I was concerned it would require special hardware to keep it on the wall as it appears so heavy). It was super easy to hang though (two nails with small heads; I was able to do it myself). It is by far the most gorgeous and unique Tree of Life I have seen anywhere (and I've looked at many). The detail is unlike any other Tree of Life I have seen anywhere. This is really a statement piece. I also loved that the piece is "signed" by the artist (carved into the roots of the tree... subtle and took me a while to see it, but I really loved that touch).

I absolutely love this beautiful handmade piece of art. It looks stunning on our living room wall. I most like that it comes from an actual artist who worked very hard with his time and effort to create such beauty. I love the color, the shine, and how lightweight it is. The company has sent me 3 follow-up emails with a background story on the artist and asking/ensuring I was happy and satisfied with my purchase. One of the sides was a tiny bit bent but I bent it right back in place with no problems. It was most likely from the long haul to an APO address in Japan. I highly recommend this beauty!!!! Another wonderful aspect is that it comes from a small fair trade company...all the more better! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will cherish my Tree of Life and it’s meaning for years to come.

This is an excellent hand crafted metal wall sculpture. Perfectly and carefully done. Beautiful pewter/silver patina. Well balanced so it hangs straight. Lightweight but very sturdy. Very talented Haitian artists! The best part is they have found a way to recycle cast-off steel drums in such a beautiful way & help support the village of Croix-des-Bouquets. Sent carefully packed and included a pamphlet telling about the care of the wall sculpture, hanging instructions & pictures of the village people involved with the making of the sculptures. Highly recommend!

The photo of the "Tree of Life" artwork is a very accurate rendering of how the piece truly looks. It is very carefully crafted and although art is a very subjective matter, it is very beautiful. The photo did convey the impression that the piece is much heavier than it actually is though. It is very light. My only problem, if you could call it that, is that the item is not flat, I assume because it is constructed from thin sheet metal taken from a steel drum and so takes on, for lack of a better word, a kind of 'warped' characteristic. In order to get it flat against the wall, I had to hammer into the wall several thin brad nails, which I then bent over to hold the piece down. Not a major criticism, but it is still a bit clumsy to deal with, however the result is practically unnoticeable. The cost of this item is very reasonable, considering its handcrafted origin and should not deter anyone who admires it from obtaining one. Overall, I am much impressed with the beauty of this piece of metal artwork and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We are nature lovers and thought this piece was beautiful and we also love the fact that it is ethically sold through Fairtrade contracts. The item itself arrived quickly and although packaging wasnt cushioned, it arrived undamaged. The art is sturdy enough to withstand a little shuffling during the shipping process anyway. The material is a silver color, as it would be from being pounded, cut and shaped from the metal drums used to craft it. The measurements are accurate as described, and the cutout was splendid. I was slightly concerned with a few edges being a bit sharp, but this is true metal work, and isnt a toy to be fondled or played with. It was also very easy to hang in our entryway to welcome guests, and are very pleased. I will buy from this seller again due to our satisfaction with the product and speed of delivery
