This is a replacement unit for my SUV as I have bent my current one in a minor mishaps with concrete light post bases.It is incredibly the amount of space you save in your SUV by simply using this cargo carrier, easy to store and to attach things securely with the straps included, it also comes with a waterproof cover and a net. You need a ratchet to tighten the bolts, but then they are solid, very easy to assemble. The frame is surprisingly stout and feels solid. The finish makes the carrier look pretty sharp, too.We use this to put gas containers, our lawn mower, weed eater, gas chainsaw, to go to our properties to do the lawn maintenance. But we will use it to put the luggage when we go on vacation, nice product, that you can use for many different purposes.

The expanded metal flooring where welded to the bottom rail has sharp points on the exposed semi protected ends of the expanded metal where not welded. The points are not ground at all after cutting at factory however the do lay flat on the rail but as I did these are where one would first grab the piece while unpacking and may again use while removing or installing the piece on a vehicle. I think the reflection might meet DOT requirements but I installed marker lights and turn signals lights as a load higher than 24” somewhat hides the vehicle lights. Otherwise on a 1600 mile trip over Arizona highway 40's rough road it preformed well with 250 lbs. load. Using the anti rattle device and double nutting the bolts I never felt or heard the load rattle. Yes I would recommend to buy but install lights and use good duct tape over the sharp points of expanded metal.

We got this for vacation and it worked perfectly for holding our coolers and such. Good value for the money just make sure you have the proper attachment. Easy to assemble fits comfortably in parking spaces.

Have for maybe 3 years now and so glad I made this purchase. More room in truck for family on vacations. No worries.

So I didn't have a very high expectation of this given the low price. It was very easy to assemble however all the holes lined up perfectly. I was very surprised to have the anti-rattle clamp included. This locks the carrier to the receiver to prevent the rack from wobbling. I have used this so far to carry firewood and a generator with fuel on the back of my SUV. The folding feature is very nice as well keeps this out of the way when its not in use. The cover is more of a piece of fabric sewn into a 5 sided bag. It is not a zippered bag so it is Ok, but don't expect a whole lot of it. I wouldn't trust luggage in it to be waterproof, but fine to keep things clean. Very well done!

Purchased this item for a upcoming trip. When the box arrived I was pleased with the stoutness of the carrier. Once I opened up the box I noticed there wasn't any assembly directions which really sucked because I had never put one of these things together. After a while I figured out how things were supposed to come together. Once I started the assembly I noticed that there was 4 holes that were off center.. i had to bust out the drill bits to open up the holes ..once I did it fit together perfectly. I must say the b product is beefy.. didn't have any issues on our 500 mile trip. The add states the the cover that comes with it was only a cover.. not a bag like the add states.. other than the missing directions and off center holes it a solid product. For the price and what you get its definitely worth the price.
