IdeaWorks JB7356 Solar Paw Print Outdoor Lights, Black

I lost both of my dogs over a 1 year period I put these in the yard over their grave. I can see them from my back door. Not how I like looking out at them but now I can see foot prints that remind me of my boys 💔

These are replacing the 1st set that suprisingly lasted three years, and still work with the exception of one paw that’s out. I Love them, looks beautiful in my pups memorial garden

When these solar paw prints arrived, we immediately installed them in our yard. It took a bit of work (because our ground is so hard here), but we were easily able to cover over the wires with gravel. After a full day of direct exposure to the Arizona sun, they did indeed light up at dusk. They are super cute, and we were delighted.An hour later, however, they were no longer lit up.Much to our disappointment, this pattern repeated itself over the course of the next two nights. We could cause the lights to shine briefly throughout the night by hitting the collector with a bright LED light, but again they would rapidly stop shining (like maybe 2 minutes later!).Turns out the problem was in the cheap no name battery that came installed in the solar collector portion of this product. I swapped it for a quality solar rechargeable battery that I got right here on Amazon, and the very first night the paw prints glowed for hours, long past my bedtime! I tested the cheap battery with my multimeter, and it turns out that it was being charged to 1.29 volts, which was good (it's a 1.2V battery), but it could not HOLD that charge for any length of time. With a quality battery installed (I paid $10 for a 4 pack), the product is wonderful! Just be sure to get the proper battery type- you need a NiMH battery rated for 1.2V. I used PowerDriver NiMH NI-MH Aa Rechargeable Batteries, 4-count (2750 mAh, 1.2V, Pre-Charged) right here on Amazon. The product only takes one, but it was cheap enough that I bought 4 and have spares.I would definitely have given this product 5 stars, had the battery not been so worthless. I suspect most people would trash or return this product with the original battery installed.

This is my second set of paw Lights. The first set I purchased was a different (more expensive) brand. The difference between these and the more expensive ones on amazon are the color and length of the wires you have to work with. These cast a somewhat warm light, have a larger solar panel and much longer wires to work with. The light is nothing like an Edison type of warm, but a very faint warm neutral. The other brand was a very cold white, much shorter wires and a smaller panel. I recommend these all day over the ones that are a tad more expensive simply because of the extra cord length from the last paw to the panel. In the picture the first set of 4 on the bottom is of the other brand, the second set on the top with the arrows pointing at it is this brand. Both last about the same from dusk till around midnight, but we’ve had funky weather lately so I assume a full day of bright sun would keep them on a little longer. Past 2 days it’s been raining non stop and they only stayed on for around 2 hours.

These work just fine for my needs. Later when the ground settles I plan to put down some pretty white pebbles and then I want to move these onto them. I think they'll look really pretty that way since they're more of a white light than a warm light like the other ones I have next to her headstone. They look great and stay lit a long time at night. They don't have much of a "stake" so I've just propped them against the ground for now. Hopefully, once I get the pebbles down they'll nestle nicely into them.

UPDATE 04Jun22: I cannot change the battery in these lights. I removed the 4 screws in the back of the solar unit but it won't come apart! I've tried prying it apart but 1 corner remains steadfast. I have 6 sets of these along my walkway and hate the thought of replacing them after a year.I am very pleased with these lights. They are not bright, but I didn't buy them to provide pathway lighting. I wanted something a bit different for my front garden. They've been snowed and rained on and are still working. They nest flat on the ground.

Love these. They are nicer quality than I expected for the price. Work great, nice and bright. Love looking down on the flower bed and seeing paw prints!:)

Have now purchased 3 sets of these lights - two sets as presents and one set for me!! Give out good light in the summer and even in the winter they light up for an hour or so early evening. Very pleased with these lights - a novelty idea but a useful one as well.

These are so bright at night and still so pretty in the day they last the hole night if the have a had sunny day that day. fantastic I put them in my Dog Cemetery and they truly warm my heart.
