During Middle Ages Damascus steel was used to make swords and the art of making Damascus steel was considered as a secret. Then a time came when process for making the original Damascus steel was lost. But it emerged again, though modern-day Damascus blades, knives and swords are not made in the same way as in the medieval time. The reason for this is obvious, as no one knows exactly how those blades, knives and swords were made.

I cannot day enough about the great quality of this knife- it’s fabulous- I purchased for my husbands birthday and he absolutely loves it- comes with the roll bar and pieces needed to attach a hilt- which is really just great. If you’re going to buy knives this is the place to go- it arrived quickly and is great quality

love at first sight!
I looked far and wide for blade that fit my requirements of a balance between blade and handle length, shape, appearance and still be useable. Anytime you buy without the touchy feely part, you just don't know what you're going to get. I am beyond pleased with this blade! It is absolutely gorgeous! I'm glad I bought two. Picture with a carbon fiber handle.
