Kante RC01098A-C80091 Lightweight Traditional Flower Diamond Pattern Birdbath, 24.5 inch Tall, Weathered Concrete

I wanted a simple, understated birdbath, and found this one. It arrived very well packed in multiple layers of bubble wrap -- no chips or breakage. It could not be easier to assemble. I love that it looks like concrete, but is less heavy. Now I just have to wait for the birds to discover it!

I found that other bird baths were too deep for the small birds, and / or too smooth /slippery for them, Glass or glazed surfaces. This is a perfect shallow basin depth about 1 1/2 to 2 inches full, and the surface is concrete / resin rough enough that the birds seem to have no issues with landing and splashing around in it. I saw that other Amazon reviewers had issues with either not getting both the top and the bottom in their shipment, or arriving and it was damaged. Mine was delivered all in one box, ~ 7 lbs. in weight, clearly marked Fragile, and packed tightly in thick Styrofoam. So I had no issues with damage, chipping, or loosening in transit, and top and pedestal bottom were all there. Both the pedestal bottom and the basin top were neatly packed together. Again some reviewers of this product said assembly was hard! The pedestal bottom has an opening at the top, and the basin top has a square butt end jutting out form the bottom of the basin, that literally goes into the pedestal top. (A square peg into a hole). Do not know how much easier it could be. I went with 4 stars on weight only because Assembled it weighs 7 or 8 pounds which may be heavier then some may want. Works for me since it is not prone to the wind tipping it over. I placed mine near my bird feeder and close to the bushes and trees and birds are already stopping all day. For me it was the perfect fit and the perfect bird bath.

I have been looking for a very long time for a birdbath that wasn't deep or too small in diameter and made of concrete. I finally found one that checked all the boxes! It's not cheaply built it looks great and the birds have been using it! I'm so happy with this purchase. It's held up well under bad weather also. I only wished it had a more snug fit. Mine came undamaged. I'm sorry for all the others that received theirs damaged.

Update- as of November after just 6 months it is completely falling apart. There is no way to contact the supplier through Amazon.Cracks appeared in the base after about 4 months and the dish has started to crack after about 6 months of use.Packaging was not good. There was damage to the edges and underside of the dish. I didn't return it because the damage was mostly not visible once it was assembled. Since it is cracking now I should have returned it while I could have but didn't see cracks until about 4 months.

Looks great in my garden. However, the bowl is a bit shallow. Water evaporates was too quickly.

I looked for 1 week on-line at many different sellers...i STARTED TO GET TIRED OF SEEING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER...Then I looked at Amazon! Amazon had a huge selection and I found exactly what I was looking for! I wanted something that would not blow over in the wind, naturally heavy enough, yet I did not want it to be difficult to move and here it is: Lightweight Traditional Flower Diamond Pattern Birdbath, Weathered Concrete! I was looking for that perfect bird bath that had a very wide bowl...and not very deep so all birds no matter the size could drink and bathe, especially concerned with the fledglings at this time of year. This was PERFECT! 1.5 INCHES DEEP AND WIDE! Perfect height, too! Very pleased! The boxes arrived very quickly and the baths were packed VERY well and protected and everything arrived in mint shape! (I ordered two of them and both perfect). I cut open the box and removed the two pieces, bowl and pedestal, and put put one into the other and in 30 seconds was filling with water! My birds will be happy and I will get great joy watching the birds feel like they are at a Spa! LOVE IT! WORTH EVERY DIME, GREAT VALUE! Would recommend to anyone! THANKS

So far, very happy with this purchase. Have only had it for about a week so far. Arrived about a week after ordering. Was well packaged with form fitting Styrofoam and with no cracks of chips. Love that the concrete and fiberglass mixture makes the birdbath light in weight so easily picked up and placed. Should make cleaning easier too. I tried a concrete acid stain on it but that didn't work on this fiberglass and concrete mix. Wasn't surprised and certainly the manufacturer would not suggest to do so. Just wanted to see if I could change the color to some kind of weathered green patina. I noticed one buyer had issues with chipping. Don't know if this is the case, but it would seem if someone lives in an area with winter freezing, you might want to overwinter in a garage. if any water gets absorbed into the concrete, not likely it seems pretty smooth and sealed, but if it does, than a freeze could cause chipping or cracking.

This is a very nice, lightweight bird bath. However, I ordered and received the (1st) bath only to find it damaged. I order a 2nd one to replace it and It was damaged as well. Frustrated but still wanting it, I ordered one more with Amazon's support/help. When I got the 3rd one, it was much better. There are still some flaws in the finish but I hope it won't affect how it will last. Time will tell.I let Amazon know about my concerns for the 3rd one and wanted to get the manufacturers info from them so I could contact them to check to see if the flaws will affect it's wear over time and how it will hold up, etc. They couldn't find any info for them but they promised to let me return it even after the 30 days, if there is a problem. They were also so great with getting me return labels for UPS to pick up the first two from my house since they both wouldn't fit in my car at the same time to take them to the UPS store and I'd have had to make two trips.As always, I can count on Amazon to take care of their customers and stand behind what they sell!
