The price of perfection
Ya, this thing is expensive. But when you've spent the previous two hours meticulously measuring and bending steel fuel line to snake up from under the engine, around a dozen various components, and up to the carburetor intake, the last thing you wanna do is jack up the flare on the end of the tube. And since my time and effort has value, the Eastwood Flaring tool was indeed worth it.Not only does it make perfect flares first time every time, it's actually kinda fun to use. That really says something about a tool- when it takes a job that is usually considered a freakin' chore, and actually does the job perfectly and easily with hardly any brain needed by the operator. Having been frustrated with the poor quality and inconsistency of the cheaper bar-style flare tools, I wanna shake the hand of the person who invented this one.Of course it does have one limit. You have to use it on a bench vise so if you're planning on doing flares with the tubing ON the vehicle, you'll have to look elsewhere. But if you're cool with using it on a vise, and cool with perfect fit and no leaks every time, then drop the coin on this.

Great tool
Super easy to make double flares on brake lines. Works with stainless steel also. Wish I would have got it sooner.

Tool does not work as intended (Quality Control Failure)
This tool seems great but it does not work at all.I’ve used the correct die, correct placement, set up the tool using the instruction booklet and watching Eastwood tutorial videos. When the line is placed in, and the vise is tightened the line moves backwards while pressing. No matter what die is used, no matter how tight I make it, it moves and does not flare.Eastwood will not send me a replacement or let me return since I bought it on Amazon. Do not buy this expensive garbage. Do not buy any tool whose manufacturer does not work with their customer in any way. 250 dollars wasted and I still have to buy another flaring tool to complete work. The tool is to be shipped with a quality control block apparently, mine did not come with one. The other shops around me have. Eastwood sent me a defective unit. Will never buy Eastwood again unless they reach out to me and fix their mistake.

Quick, easy, accurate brake line double flare end preparation
I had switched from steel brake lines (that I had always used in the past) to the copper alloy, in my most recent brake line rebuild job (3/16" diameter, double flare). Although I really liked the ease of use of the copper lines since they're more ductile and flexible, I found that there was a small amount of bending on the copper line (in the portion that should be remaining straight) occurring during the first step while using my prior $25 2-bar wingnut device. Therefore, the second step was operating on an end that was not perfectly lined up. Results of the inverted flare looked no-good. Several tries, all poor results, very frustrating, and time-wasting! I've prepared brake line ends many times before, and the only thing different in my most recent trials was that of copper vs. steel. So, I purchased this machine and tried it. All efforts at preparing the ends (inverted flare) were essentially perfect. Perfect results, first time, every time! Saves time, saves frustration! So much easier! Would recommend!

STOP fiddling with the rest....buy the best
I repaired 3 brake lines with a mix of OTHER equipment, some of which broke while finishing the last brake line...prompting me to purchase this kit.The quality of this tool is impeccable--I advise anyone whom cares about doing lines properly to buy this, no further search necessary.

High Quality Tool
This set up works great. I'm very happy with my purchase. It was a little on the expensive side, but considering the quality and ease of use, it was worth it.

best flaring tool I"ve ever used!
If you're tired of screwing around with those cheap parts store flaring tools then ditch them and buy this thing. It makes flaring any kind of brake lines a walk in the park and it gets the flare dead center to the hole in the tubing. I was having a dickens of a time with this connection on the front of a custom built 3/16" front brake line. Of course I used a Chinese prduced coupler and the seat on it was terrible looking. So I replaced that with a better one and made a new line with this unit and it didn't leak anymore imagine that?If you do make brake lines more than just once buy this thing! You don't need the hassle of cheap crap made in China.
