A design that works! Buying more!
I AM BUYING TWO MORE!! For users of stick incense, this holder is the answer. The diameter of the base is wide enough to catch the ash and the hole for the stick actually "holds" the stick; meaning when the stick is inserted, it is a tight fit, keeping the stick in place while burning and importantly, while moving the holder to a different location. The holder I received is a soft gray-blue and seems to melt into the background. Fallen ash is easily disposed of and the holder cleaned with a paper towel or similar. The ring patter is attractive and also helps hold the ash in place so it does not blow away before disposal. Smartly purpose built!

Doesn't catch the ashes. Dangerous
Cute, but completely ineffectual. The base is too small so that the ashes fall outside of the tray. Tried it multiple times but always with the same result. Perhaps if you are using mini incense sticks it will work for you.Unfortunately this makes it dangerous as well as messy, and I'll have to return it.

Definitely love the design and quality!!
Love the design, color and quality!! This is a great addition to my collection. Agree you need to shorten the incense stick or ashes may fall outside of the holder (for safety reasons, never leave unattended). Keep in a low wind area and you shouldn't have any problems.

Way Too small
I would be hugely careful about what type of surface you use this on. This is because much of the incense will fall outside of the dish. It needs to be significanty wider. It's nice and I'll use it on my marble table and wipe the mess, but I'd be very careful using it on wood or something with a tablecloth. This is more ornamental than useful.FYI

Hole is too narrow to hold incense - save your money
It does not hold an incense, because the hole is just too thin. I will try using a drill to expand it.It looks okay, but for it being a piece of cement (not an expensive material) that I need to drill through to make it useful, it’s a waste of money. This thing wasn’t cheap.

Incense holder does not catch the ashes
It was not a great product. The ash from the incense falls outside of the holder and onto the floor and whatever it is sitting on. The item was:Slice of Goodness Gray Cement Circular Incense Holder - Modern Minimalist Upright Standard Size Incense BurnerDescription: [SIMPLE, SAFE, CLEAN] Who says you have to compromise on safety for aesthetics? With a beautiful Slice of Goodness incense holder, the stick will remain upright while the ashes discretely collect inside. Once burnt through, simply discard the stick and ashes for a fuss-free cleaning routine.

Well crafted, with one small drawback
This is incense holder is well-built, and sturdy. If you use small/shorter sticks it should be fine but I find that on longer sticks of incense the side walls aren't wide enough to catch the ash and it falls all over the table surface.

Simple, sleek design.
A cone incense can sit in the middle, AND there is a small hole for a stick incense, as well. With a stick incense, I usually put a plate underneath the holder, to catch any wayward ash. It rinses clean with just water.
