NOT SMART. ACT's Tech support is Lacking
I have been an ACT 2000 user for over 13 years and decided to upgrade. NOT SMART. ACT's Tech support is Lacking. The application could not and would not share the data base over the network. SAGE needs to make their support team into "a caring team", not a reference team. I ended up going with Salesforce.com. I was up and running in 30 minutes. It converted my data base. I would not recommend this product to my enemy.

Sage Act Pro 2011
I have used Act since the early 90's when I had a MAC PowerBook. We recently upgraded to the 2011 version as we secured a good price from Amazon for a 5 user version. It is deployed in a sales environment with 2 outside sales reps and 2 inside customer service reps and 1 inside/outside rep. For the most part this program does what we need it to do. We can integrate with Outlook 2010 for contacts and emails, track all the activity of our contacts, attach pertinent docs to each record and track our quote activity with the Pipeline report. One area I am terribly disappointed with is the Pipeline report. We are unable to print the attached notes from any given opportunity as they age before closure. This was available in the 2007 version we replaced and the new version is so locked down one would need to spend another $300 to get this feature from a third party source. Very disappointing as the opportunities are the whole point of our firm.
