I think I needed the "other" type of drain with overflow built-in. **Q: How far above the countertop does the basin sit? what height vanity did you use?** A: So I used a standard height vanity from Lowes, 34-35" tall. I put granite on that, then the 5" tall sink. I'm 5'6", my husband is 6'4" and this works for us. However, if I was any shorter, it would be an issue. The sink is awesome, just be sure to get a tall enough faucet. The sink does not come with a drain stopper, so if you plan to fill it with water, that will be an issue. **Q: Is this truly a countertop install or is it semi recessed?** A: Strictly a countertop install. **Q: What type faucet, besides wall mount, works best with this sink? Does it require the tall, vessel faucet?** A: Yes, it requires a tall, vessel faucet. We chose to use the tall Kohler TOOBI faucet. I suspect that other tall vessel faucets would work also.
