can you use wood tees

I imagine it wouldn't be to difficult to punch a small hole thru the padding to use wood tees.

How do you install the thicker mat?

I didn’t purchase this size- but the construction is sold, thick, heavy. I am pretty sure it will handle the blow without being secured.
