Tefal Turbomix Metal Hand Blender

The product itself was perfect. The packaging left a lot to be desired, in fact there was none. Previously we have had an issue with too much packaging in a larger than necessary box. But this one didn't have any, just a large label stuck to the front of the manufacturers box which had battered corners. No matter if it was for me, but it was for a present so I had no time to return the product, and had to apologise for the huge sticker stuck directly onto the box that it came in. We had another similar product delivered in the same state before and it was a present for someone in our household and they answered the door, only to be handed their birthday present that they could see from the instructions on the package and took away the surprise. Very disappointed!

I bought this product and was happy until it recently broke. (I't been very testing when trying to contact Tefal).- It seems that the glue used to hold the inner blades in place, is not strong enough to cope when the blender is in action.I have used this product to mix fruit and powdered shakes. A total of 3-4 times per month since lats October. Less than a year. Maybe it's just a faulty model?

After 4 years of normal use, the plastic head where the bottom part gets attached simply melted. The food was normal (not too liquid and not to hard). It wasn't forced or anything, just short burts. This happened in just a few seconds and I quickly turned it off because of the weird noise. I've checked and it was attached properly so I can't blame myself for misuse ( I simply used it as any other time).

It looks great and in principle it would be great. It has a nice design, the quality on the outside appears good and I was very happy at first but it broke after very occasional use in very little time. Great customer service form Amazon and had refund however I would not buy the same one now and would advise against it. What a shame, as I really trusted the Tefal brand but this was certainly not their finest hour.

My old handblender of 8 years failed to work.After sending one back, which didn't even puree homemade soup properly and was double the price of this one almost, I came across this blender, it had the same stainless steel blender as my old one plus the same power. After using it three times I have to say, It's very good blends in minutes great power.i would recommend this item.
