Kallax Storage for 12x12 Plastic Storage containers for Crafting and Office use

This is for 12" x 12" storage of papers and card, excellent construction very sturdy, a little time needed to put together, but easily done (even by a woman), so much easier to access the different paper and card I use, rather than just having them piled up on top of each other, worth the money

Presuming these are made to order, which is why you have got wait a week for delivery. Eleven pieces and there are no instructions, so while this may sound obvious, here’s a tip: do not glue final part in place until you have made sure it fits snugly! Heavy and robust: took 20 mins to put this together.

Whilst looking for storage solutions for my craft supplies I saw a couple of these kallax cube sized holders knocking around but they all seemed to be very difficult to assemble based on reviews or didn't use the entire space in the cube from the photos.I noticed some complaints about assembly for this one but from the photos it looked exactly what I was after and as I have some experience gluing board game inserts which are smaller and fiddlier than this I figured I'd be ok.and ok I definitely was. assembly took me literally 5 minutes. i laid out the 3 side panels in order (left-middle-right) in the correct orientation, put gorilla brand wood glue into each of the slots on all three piece, slotting the back panel into one of the sides to provide a simple 90deg frame and it held itself nicely upright in the slot without any support. I then slot each shelf in one by one making sure they were correctly seated with a bit of extra pressure where needed, then i popped the other side on top, lined up the slots and pushed it down wiggling the shelves as needed to get them to line up individually. I put a ream of paper over the top and tapped it gently with a hammer to make sure it was seated properly and job done.and more importantly fits like a glove into the kallax.I've purchased 3 items from laser smith on amazon in the last few weeks (the other 2 items being peg boards) and they've all arrived in perfect condition, would definitely recommend them and will be back for more products in the future no doubt

I rarely leave negative reviews, however this one has really left a bad taste in my mouth (and wallet).Description claims it comes with instructions (it doesn't)Parts don't fit together well meaning it just starts falling apart as you add in more pieces. After 3 hours of trying the edges on the tabs have frayed meaning they fit even worse than before and I dread to think how much of a mess there'd be if I was using glue (this was still attempting a dry fit!). When it comes to adding a third side you realise nothing lines up, and is off by 2-3mm. Attempting to force it just makes the shelves jump out of their slots.Seems like a great idea for a product but it is horribly executed. Save your money and look elsewhere. Maybe I just got unlucky and got a badly cut set but I wouldn't risk it.

This item would be just what I wanted if only the components fitted better. The grooves are roughly machined and unless you inspect and file each one it’s a real struggle to make the tabs slot in correctly. I don’t mind assembling stuff but this item was just too much ‘messing’ for my liking. A shame, because I’d hoped to order a couple more. The concept is great and it will do the job intended. Rather pricey for an item that’s such a faff to make good. I’m disappointed

Ordered 5 of the 12x12 paper storage shelves for the Kallax unit. Took half an hour & all five assembled & glued together, turned them on their sides & weighted whilst the glue cures.Excellent product & will be very useful in my craft room

Ok.... so I read the reviews... and like most people have said, it was a bit of a mission to put together... you need another set of hands really BUT one of the main issues was I got the parts the wrong way round so 'of course it wouldn't fit! And i thought j had the wrong pieces' Went together like a dream once I figured it out and didn't actually take that long, it just felt longer due to the faff... maybe took 10mins per one (I got two) i have to say I absolutely LOVE them!! and if I had more money I would turn my entire kallax into these haha. Fits snug and well made for the kallax cubby hole. And I invested in 12 weston boxes 12 x 12inch storage boxes that fit in these perfect! I am using it to store my cricut 12 x 12 vinyls and htv and drawing and paper bits and pieces!
