Great household tool set - not for pros
First-this says right in the title that's it's a household tool set, indicating these are not professional quality tools. For the price, this tool set is amazing. Five stars for cheap tool set that does everything I've needed. I have used it heavily this past month of everything in my house breaking at the same time and used it lightly the two previous years. There is no visible wear on the case or tools, no handles twisted off, nothing broke. With only this set, I (a weakling finance nerd with no direction or training other than Google) have done the following:Uninstalled a dishwasherUninstalled a refrigerator with ice maker/waterlineRemoved and replaced a huge heavy door, many many timesReplaced washing machine water linesInstalled wired fire alarmsMeasured an unusually high number of things - who knew measuring tape and a ruler were so necessary?I'm sure there are more - this was just the recent stuff I can think of. Seriously, don't buy a house unless you either are someone or live with someone who likes to fix everything. I do not.Minor annoyances - it takes muscle to snap some stuff back into the case, but I imagine this means the case is going to last a long time as it won't loosen up. Also, I could use more wrenches. I'd pay more for a slightly larger set including some wrenches. That's basically the only thing I've needed outside this set, and actually, I've made do without- it just means I have to work at things a little harder or longer. The adjustable wrench included does most jobs but it's a little big for tight spaces.

Exactly what I wanted for my birthday!
I am a woman who researches exactly what I want for my birthday/Christmas presents and then I email the link to my husband... I tell you, I am never disappointed and it's a win-win situation! Last year I wanted this: A home tool kit that STAYS IN THE HOUSE. I am happy to share this kit with other family members but I am grateful that I will NEVER have to go to the garage just to find a hammer or screwdriver or measuring tape or wrench or pliers or anything else for that matter. This kit has it all and the tools are sturdy. I used to have another tool kit which was useful but annoying in that it only had the type of screwdrivers that used magnetized heads and a short little top that couldn't reach anywhere useful. These have regular screwdrivers, and lots of pliers and other tools that I don't need very often but when I do need them I really NEED them. Searching through the man cave garage is so daunting just to hang a picture or put together a book shelf and now I don't have to! I love this kit. Look at all the others but you'll see that this one is more complete and sturdy. It's a perfect household kit and every woman should have one of her own.

Good for the price, very compact
You would be hard pressed to find all these tools for a lower price, and it would be even harder to make them fit in such a small package. The tool quality is moderate, definitely not crap. The plier tips line up well, and they resist torquing and twisting movements (which is a common sign of cheap pliers). The selection of tools is good. I think I will buy a professional 25-foot tape measure and a power drill with some bits, and then I will be all set for my new home. I am not seriously into DIY home maintenance, so this should suffice. I may also need wire strippers. This set includes all the essentials, though: hammer, monkey wrench, several sets of pliers, small tape measure, saw, screw driver assortment, allen wrenches, and even clamps.

Nice household kit with essential adjustable wrench.
I bought this kit to keep in the kitchen for household repairs, and assembly. For some reason many of these kits don't come with an adjustable wrench, which I think is essential for this type of kit. Since I bought it I have used it frequently and it fits the bill. Sure the tools are a bit soft and not professional, but I don't need top notch tools for household use. They are adequate. The box is a bit stiff on the snaps at first and the tools a bit tough to snap in and out at first, but it wears in quickly. I like being able to look at the kit and see what isn't in its place so I don't leave tools about. I recommend this kit to make your life a little bit easier.

As a gift to a child or someone who doesn't use tools much, it's okay
The case is junk - very thin plastic and the tools don't fit well into the molded shapes inside. When you press them in, the plastic sometimes caves in. While the pliers and wire cutters felt pretty solid and high quality, the adjustable wrench and carpenter's square feel junky. The square is so poorly made that the edges feel sharp and uncomfortable to the touch. I opened the box this set was in, felt the tools for a few minutes, and just packed the whole thing up for the return.

Pretty amazing set of tools for the price, space
I will start by saying that I have a lot of good tools and like them. I like this kit too. These are not professional tools but they are of good quality and the variety in the kit is well thought out. I recommend this kit for those who don't have a lot of storage space or do modest home repair. There are two things that make this kit stand out to me: (1) the variety of tools it has--from carpenter to mechanics to electronics and and more and (2) the quality of the tools is better than I have seen in similar kits. The case is attractive and if you take something out to use it you can actually get it back in without it being a Rubik's cube or disturbing all the other tools.

Really great
I was soo excited to see this was in the mail! Earlier than expected too, yay :)The tools are really great to use... I just use this stuff arround the house at the time. And the only complaint that I have is that the Hacksaw is made really cheap... but besides that everything else is great! It is made really well and not just plastic crap (excuse the language) and actually heavy wich is really good cause I can't stand this light plastic stuff.I also have to say I am the wifey and my hubbs ordered it for me so this is a chicks review and this is the first review I have written yet and hope it helps a little
