I wanted a case that would protect it more than the leather case I had for it. So far, this has done the job. I like the handle on it... I can use a strap to attach it to the stroller if all other forms of entertainment fail! He has actually thrown the ipad on the sidewalk twice. (EEK!) To my relief, the case protected it. The back of the case is pretty thin, but it's the thick sides that protect the ipad from bumps and falls. It will not make your ipad invincible, and it will not protect it from water. But the buttons are easily accessible, and there's even an opening for the speaker. It fits a first generation ipad perfectly.Also~ it is very hard to find a case for the original ipad these days! This was a great price. The other options I found were much more expensive. We also love the fun color. It's a nice, bright orange. The rubber is pretty think, stretchy, and shows no sign of wear after months of daily use. I'm very happy with the purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Durable case, and my son actually uses the handle *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2013* This is a well built case. Our ipad gets dropped by our two year old all of the time and the ipad is still in great shape. I don't necessarily use the handle all of the time so it can get in the way, but when I let my son use the ipad, the handle is very convenient for him. He carries it around all of the time and the case is still firmly in place. It's tight enough where our son can't remove case, but it's not difficult for my husband or myself. Plus it doesn't mess up the screen protector when we take it off or put it back on. The cushioning around the edges protect the iPad well, and still allow you to reach the necessary buttons except the headphone jack. Our son uses headphones with a bent jack and due to the extra cushioning his headphones can't plug in. So really I would give this four and a half stars, but unfortunately that's not an option. I definitely recommend buying this.
