Harman Kardon HKTS-15 5.1 High-Performance, 6-Piece Home Theater Speaker System (Black Gloss) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I bought the Harmon Kardon speaker set based upon reviews in Amazon. Let me just say that I am very happy with my decision. The price was great and I love the sound. I also got the stands for the rear speakers and they work really well. You can't see any wires at all. Everything is beautiful.Bottom line: I couldn't be any happier with the purchase and the product.

This was a great system to begin with. Great speakers, great subwoofer, very easy to connect to my receiver.However, my subwoofer failed 2 months after buying. I had to go through one of Harman Kardon's authorized repair centers to have it repaired. It has been almost 4 months now and I have not received my subwoofer yet. Their service is absolutely god-awful. By far the most painful service reps I have ever had to deal with. Between the repair center and their customer service, nobody knows what is wrong or what is going on. Nobody can give me a straight answer and I am on the verge of asking for an entire refund. This has been absolute nonsense and piss-poor service. Spend the extra money and go with literally any other sound system manufacturer

I'm very satisfied with this system. Spent a couple of weeks searching electronics stores and the internet. Was a little leery because I couldn't view the system in real-life before purchase, but have no regrets. Rocks my world with plenty of power to spare, and the box contained EVERYTHING to hook it up. One drawback: The mounting brackets for the satellite speakers have no adjustment for tilt and are designed for the speakers to rest on top. You may have to pop for speaker stands or dream something up to aim them at the listeners position. A minor imposition once you have a chance to hear them.

Ordered via Amazon. Excellent delivery service. Bought after a few weeks of research looking for smaller sized home theatre speaker system at value price but excellent sound. Very satisfied with purchase. Sound is excellent for price and glad I did not spend more. Like other reviews I read, was surprised at size of subwoofer and ended up having to move it to another corner of the room and do more wiring than planned.Made 4 stars instead of 5 because speaker mounts only allow allow for rotation from right to left. I figured I could just buy better wall mounts but because speakers require mounting from the bottom, I was unable to find any wall mounts that would work with this non-standard location of the screw placement (these are bottom instead of backside). However, best sound (for rear speakers) in my room setup seems to be when they are pointed directly across the room from each other, so I really did not have a need for better mounts anyway. Overall really like the sharp style and great sound from such a small set of speakers. The kit comes with plenty of long speaker wires but note you should get speaker wire designed for in wall use to be to code. I ordered all my wire and accessories such as banana plugs and wall plates from mycablemart.com as I thought their prices were good, but there are lots of places to order this stuff. I would recommend this purchase for the value-oriented consumer looking for good home theatre sound and a fair price assuming you couple it with a good AV receiver (I coupled this with an Onkyo TX-SR606).

I would buy this again and again if I had to pick one. But it just works too well and is durable to the point it won't need replaced for a long time. Rattles my house windows , 2700 sqft...no problem at 3\4 power. 1\2 is too much really.

Nice base, easy controls, outstanding sound quality.

Ordered and arrived in Nov. 2017. At the end of Jan. 2018, subwoofer stopped playing. Contacted Harman Kardon directly, they suggested it may be my receiver not putting out signal to engaged sub. Since I purchased the Sony STR-DH550 from best buy, I had no problem returning the receiver for a new one. Still no sub. Small speakers sound and look good but system is worthless without working sub.

Beautiful sound paired with a Yamaha receiver, nice finish and excellent price. The "CATCH" the subwoofer started making a buzzing sound when in stand by mode and finally stopped working. The orange light still on but the sub won't work, even if I switch the the on mode. I just check to see the return policy but it seems like I just missed by a few days. I'm very disappointed! I was trying to save money with this speaker system and now I'm stuck with a useless subwoofer. I'm wondering if it was already defective to begin with, may be next time I should try buying directly from the manufacturing even if it cost a little more.
