This is your new first aid kit
I have spent hours look at and reading reviews on first aid kits. I wanted something to keep in my car for those just in case situations but I also wanted something that was big enough, but not too big, that I could add items to. Enter this first aid kit.The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was that the bag itself was a nice size. It's not outrageously big but it's also not so small that you'd have a hard time locating it in the car or in your house. As I picked up the bag, I was impressed with the water repellent material it's made of. It doesn't look like it's going to fall apart within a week or even a year or more. I unzipped the bag with ease and found the zipper to be sturdy. You shouldn't have to wrestle with your first aid bag when you need to access it in a hurry and with this one, you won't have to. It opens very smoothly. The 3 compartments that make up the bag are of decent size and allow space if you'd like to add additional items to your bag. I plan on adding a tourniquet, some antibiotic ointment, a tape scissors (comes with a straight scissors), additional Kling rolls, additional 4x4 and 5x7 gauze bandages, and a small battery operated flashlight. Yes, I probably could've bought a kit that already has all of these items in there. My point is, however, that there is going to be plenty of room in this bag for those additional items. You could also keep medications in this bag if you wanted to.I'm very pleased with the purchase of this bag. It's made of nice material, opens smoothly, and has room to add additional items to customize for your use. Definitely worth purchasing!

Above average bag for basic First Aid
This item was purchased for our travel trailer. I'm a former EMT, and share that "picky" streak you'll see in other reviews of first aid kits. The great part about this kit is that 250 of the 291 pieces are NOT cheap adhesive bandages. You'll find substantial supplies, including two pairs of gloves, a mouth-to-mouth spacer (for the squeamish or the BSI-aware), and a pair of metal tweezers. Way more cotton balls than I could ever imagine needing, but 10 each of two useful components: benzalkonium chloride wipes, and burn gel that is mainly aloe vera.I got to use the kit last week when my granddaughter grabbed her marshmallow toasting fork by the tines. The burn gel packet was generously filled, and we McGyvered an overnight loose wrap from gauze. The next morning, re-treated the one spot that needed attention with triple antibiotic ointment that I had added to the kit (only addition so far), and all is well. The bag is reminiscent of a "jump bag" with separate compartments well organized for different functions. Those who are planning to use it for more demanding applications will find it easy to remove and add items as needed. No one bag is perfect. This one is above average.
