Can I mount it on the ceiling but with the brackets opposite of the way the arms are that hold the board? I hope I am asking the correct way.

This rack has a 90 degree rotational mounting base so that you can align it with the direction of your garage joists, allowing you to have the storage arms run either parallel or perpendicular to the wood ceiling rafters.

Hi! I have 10.5" between the ceiling and the garage door when up. Will this rack still fit in that space?

Great question! Although the rack height for this rack is adjustable, the minimum rack height is 12.125".

Do you have something big and strong enough to store a mattress?

At this time, the Hi-Port 2 wouldn't work for a mattress, it would be too wide for it. I don't have an alternative to suggest that we carry, so I am sorry we can't help you out with that, but thank you for reaching out to us!

Whats the difference between this and the ladder version?
