Such a hollow book for this author--or any author. Nothing new here--put your hand on your heart and read classic spiritual writings. If you already read this genre of books/literature and can hang with the most astute and experiential, don't waste your money on this one. Kirsten M.'s review lays it out perfectly.

I pre-ordered this book a couple of months ago.I have to say that it's arrival yesterday in the midst of current affairs couldn't have been better timed.Opening to a random page, a reflection on a passage from the Bagavagita, I was blown away!I have read and discussed the Gita for more years than I care to say. This obvious and simple perspective had somehow never quite reached my conscious understanding. Wow!

Having a reference book like this to look up and study the ancient mantras and prayers that have guided so many in times of uncertainty, means a great deal right now in the midst of a global pandemic. Every chapter, devoted to certain trials we experience as humans (protection, fear, loss, strength, love) brings an explanation of the subject and code along with details on how to use them and what they really mean. These codes have brought humans around to understanding our deep emotional issues for all time. They can only help us overcome the troubled times we face right now. Great, easy, read with plenty of details and practical application. Thank you for pulling this reference together.

Gregg Braden has done it again with a book worth reading and keeping as a reference. We say the words to prayers and mantras but do we understand the deeper meaning? This book gives the history, deeper meaning and understanding to words we've used over and over in life. It shows how to tap into the inner knowledge to use the power within the words. Gregg is just amazing! In times like this current times having the sensitivity and delicate insight to compose a book to give us hope and comfort when everything else is chaos is completely unique! This is one of Gregg Braden's best books yet! The format of the book makes it perfect to refer back to as situations arise where the Wisdom Codes can be used. Definitely a must read!

Perfect timing for this book. Gregg is a rare gem I have had good fortune to study his work from start each and every book, meeting, travel have been timely in my life, I know it will help in these trying times of new world emerging.

Mr. Braden has summarized a unique collection of cherished spiritual truths and practice from several of the world's most honored spiritual paths.An incredible aid to enhance anyone's prayerful meditation or 'inner' work practice.The deep explanations of each of the 'Wisdom Codes' are educational. And, in themselves a source of subject material for further research.Admittedly, I am a big fan of Mr. Braden's work. But, only because he has a rare quality of explaining deeper concepts in a plain language that respects individuality and honors the indigenous traditions from which the information is drawn - without dumbing it down unnecessarily.You know you have read something special when you come away from it NOT really knowing what the author really believes or practices themselves. Such is the way with this book. The material is presented - the author is simply telling the story - not injecting personal slants.The information is presented in an oddly-detached (almost an observer's) perspective; Yet, remains open and accessible at the same time.I feel that there are several layers to this knowledge that I have yet to experience for myself.

This is a wonderful book. I think all the people who give it a low rating and criticize it are completely missing the point and don't 'get it'. They obviously haven't tried using the codes. Plenty of modern prayers out there if people want them, this book is not about them. Maybe some people aren't ready for this, and of course that's ok. I will memorize these codes and will use them for years to come. What a great writer and a special guy he is. Sandy Cleland.

Gregg Braden said that in writing this book he envisioned a collection of easy to read trusted words we've historically turned to in times of need.2020 is very much a year of such need. It is a perfect book for our time of transformation - I found it interesting to read so many similarities from different ancient and not so ancient cultures. My own feeling is that in reading the different prayers and mantras, our inner knowing awakens.For me, a few interesting 'dots' were joined. Much appreciated, thank you.
