EDIT JULY 8, 2020: I thought I'd put this note right up front—you need to remember this is an Android box. Android is created by Google, and Google's business model is to get as much info about you as possible and then sell that to whoever wants it. So if that bothers you, then definitely go through all the privacy settings and turn off tracking, location, ad personalization and whatever else you can. Also, being Android, there's no standardization and it's a little buggy. It reboots out of the blue, your favorites disappear for no reason, and it's constantly updating apps. I'm not going to lower my rating, because Unblock Tech has still done a good job, given that they're dealing with Android OS.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I'll list the good first, and my main complaint at the bottom. As you read this, keep in mind that I also have an older Apple TV and a recent Fire TV, so I'm probably comparing it unfairly to those. First off, this is a nice, simple-to-install box that does exactly as it claims: allows you to stream live programs and video-on-demand from around the world. "Around the world" mostly means Asia, with some US and European programs as well.CONTENT: There is a LOT of content. We went to the TV series list and found over 7000 entries just for that. Thankfully, it has a search feature. The live streamed shows are of course streamed from the local time at the point of origin. So if you're in the western US in the evening, you'll be watching something that's live streaming from Asia the following morning. The live stream is nice, but we've all gotten so used to video-on-demand (VOD), that it's tough to time our lives around a TV schedule. (That's so last decade!) But there's plenty of VOD TV shows and other movies that you'll probably spend more time deciding what to watch than actually watching.PRICE: At $188, it's kind of pricey, especially compared to the Fire TV (I got two for $30!), but not so much compared to an Apple TV. However, they've put a lot of research and development into it, and I'm guessing it's not a super high volume product, so the price is ok.USING THE UB: You should be aware that you'll be a lot better able to make sense of this if you speak/read the language from the country you're trying to stream from. Even though you can use English (or other language) as the main interface language, a lot of the shows are listed or described in the country-of-origin's language. We tried to search for an American TV series, but we needed to know the name of the show in Mandarin in order to search, so we ended up just scrolling forever until we found it.You can set up favorites and create collections to easily get to your preferred app or program. Hope Overseas includes a nice compact USB wireless keyboard that makes searching easy.COMPLAINT: Mostly, I'd say this device is okay, but here's my main complaint -- it uses the Android OS. I don't know what other choice they really had other than writing their own OS, so it probably makes sense to use Android. The problem though is Android is notoriously difficult to use. I'm used to my other streaming devices that allow me to just make a few clicks to do what I want. Android is great if you're a tinkerer and want to mess with the file system and install custom apps and all that. But the other 99% of us just want to watch a show!Here's an example: we needed to use the keyboard to search for a show title in Chinese. It took two people over two hours just to figure out how to switch the keyboard input method to Chinese. And there are NO instructions on Unblock's site, or Hope Overseas' site (see below on that) for how to do anything but the very basic setup.To make effective use of this, you need to install apps. That's pretty normal for most devices nowadays, but every app has a different interface and usage. There's really no conformity in the Android world -- the exact opposite of my experience with Fire TV and Apple TV. I don't use Google's TV devices, so I can't compare to that. I talked with a friend who has one of these and he really is a tinkerer and loves messing with devices. But even he said that this wasn't the easiest thing to work with. I don't blame Unblock Tech for that, I blame the Android OS.So once you're set up and finally figure out how to mess with the interface, yeah this is a great product. But don't just hand it to your elderly parents and expect them to figure it out!SUPPORT: I haven't needed to use Unblock Tech's or Hope Overseas' customer support, but I can see from their websites, that very little is offered. I think there's a reason for that, and I'm just guessing here: a lot of these streaming shows and apps are sort of in a legal grey area. If the manufacturer or seller gives you too much help, then they're legally responsible. But if you download the app yourself and do your own streaming, then you're responsible. Like, if you download something illegal on your PC, then it's not Microsoft that'll get in trouble. Unblock Tech is just providing a box: it's up to you to choose how to use it.

The media could not be loaded.  TThis is a must have tv box if you don’t want to pay for cable tv it streaming services . You can select just sports and it shows you all available sport Chanel’s .You can also download any apps from the google play store you would like to use on this box.Super easy to Install on tv just plug it I. And connect to WiFi or directly to router. It comes with a keyboard remote and a regular remote . The keyboard remote allows for quick searches and typing or for game play. I’m highly impressed with this box as all of this media is completely free once you have the box. Well worth all the money saved!

This is literally plug and play! The instructions are not great and I'm sure there are many features I'm not taking advantage of. However, just playing around with it we were able to figure out how to get hundreds of channels. I was a bit concerned about the streaming over wifi, but it's been very smooth and almost no buffering at all. The best thing is that we are able to get so many foreign channels. I had asked the cable company for a foreign channel package, for my mom, and the only ones available were all in Spanish (which we don't speak). UPROS was a great purchase and made mom super happy!

My wife has been happy with its reception of programs from Taiwan. For me, there is no MSNBC programming available. Otherwise it's better than other TV boxes we have used.

This is my third unblock box, now I can watch in bedroom and living room family room the Gen 7 box work so fast, easy install and delivery on time also great custom service help me tech problem I will buy again from this company, I also brought 2 more for my brother and friend. I do not need subscribe cable tv, save lots money over the years.

This works much better with a LAN cable connection and faster internet speeds. It is not always 100% but you get much more than what you pay for.
