Terra Cotta Kitchen Compost Bin, .75 Gallon, with Charcoal Filter Lid – Cedar Grove

This little Terracotta ceramic pot is just what I was looking for a place to put wet scraps from cooking and baking. I live in an area where we need a septic system and have to be careful about how much you should put down your drain. I did not want to place wet items in my garbage cans as had an out growth of fruit flies. This ceramic jar works great and have plastic baggies that line it so easy to despose of all wet garbage items.It looks nice sitting on my counter by the sink as it blends in well with all my colors in the kitchen. I was pleased to find this on Amazon.com and a reasonable price of $34.99. I love the Terracotta ceramic made by Cedar Grove. This is a very handy container and filled all my problems of unwanted waste in my kitchen and free of those nasty fruit flies.

Works GREAT as long as you have a plastic bag inside. Pot tends to sweat with or without the bag, but without the bag, can make puddles on the counter.Matches saltillo tile perfectly.

Nice! worth getting! easy to clean, holds enough for daily trips to the worm composter. I don't notice that this container is a little smaller than others offered. I choose to make a daily trip, but if I didn't this container would still be big enough. Plus my wife really appreciates the look of it in the kitchen. Better than the #10 can we had. We do use the composting bags in this. Hold moist items nicely and without smell or fly issues which is what the #10 can problems were.

I love the design of this little composter. It sits near my sink on my kitchen counter, and fits into the design perfectly. It's well-made, attractive, and a great size. For a family of six, it holds compost for 2 to 3 days depending on how many meals we cook at home. We've had absolutely no problem with odor coming from the composter as well. I highly recommend this!

Very nice looking compost bin. I purchased it to store coffee grounds (which we put in the garden). My husband was leaving them out on a plate and I wanted something pretty that would hide them from view. This is perfect for that. And the color is nice. I think the quality is very good.

The actual ceramic compost bin is great! Nothing smells after being put in there and I'm very happy with my purchase. But can someone tell me, how you can pack a ceramic compost bin in a non-recyclable box, padded with Styrofoam? ...? Seems a bit...off...to me.

I purchased this as a gift for my mother in law. She ABSOLUTELY loves it! The quality is fantastic, and it looks terrific on her counter top. I will be purchasing this product for myself in the near future, and I'm glad to have purchased the refill bags. ..a great value.

Perfect size for our family of 4. It was easy to find replacement filters and I don't notice any smell from it. We do take it to compost every few days though so that helps.
