and I still love this desk
One year later, and I still love this desk. I couldn't find one better for the price. It is HUGE! For a techie with multiple computers, it can't be beat. My 34" ultrawide monitor fits perfectly on the extra-large monitor pedestal, which can easily accommodate an even larger monitor. The desk also holds my 20" all-in-one PC on the left and a laptop or two on the right. I can't say much else about it that other people haven't already said more eloquently than I.About some of the complaints (from other reviewers):• Do use coasters for drinks so the veneer doesn't bubble or wrinkle. I haven't had this problem, but then I've always used a coaster. I do see some wear on the veneer, though. So what.• The back of the desk is unfinished. I bought a can of black matte spray paint to finish up the unpainted surfaces, but since my desk went into a corner, I never ended up using the paint. If, however, this is a big deal to you, you'll want to paint the surfaces *before* you put it to together, because it is HEAVY, and assembly takes a good two hours. You won't want to move it once it is assembled. I put one of the drawer pieces on upside down so that the unfinished piece is somewhat exposed, but there's no way in hell I was going to disassemble it to right that one upside-down piece.• Do add corner brackets for stability if you plan on moving it, standing on it, or having sex on it. If you're just using it for a home office desk to hold your computer or office equipment, don't worry about it.• The keyboard tray works great for hiding your dirty plates after you've finished eating. I don't use it for my keyboard, but it does work fine for one, if that's your thing. It's too shallow to fit my Logitech MX Ergo trackball, however.

GREAT, STURDY desk, but I would avoid the shipping company!
First of all, I am only giving this 4-stars because when I made the order, it was through a third-party company. Amazon nor the company mentioned the fact that I would have to arrange for the delivery to be made. With that being said, it was not until the very last day of the expected delivery date, that I actually contacted the company myself. The customer service rep told me the desk was shipped and in the hands of a local company here in San Angelo, and that I had to call them to arrange a delivery date and time! The shipping information was also not available at all on Amazon.com under my Orders tab, only an expected delivery date window. The company that was to deliver, forgot to deliver it that Friday, which was a big deal because my husband was leaving for 8 weeks that Sunday. So now I could not get the desk until Monday, which meant I would have to assemble this huge thing (250lbs!) by myself. I managed by taking it up piece by piece (huge pain)! It arrived strapped to a wooden pallet and the company even left it for me to do whatever with. The box was slightly damaged, but fortunately the desk was OK. I was apprehensive at first because it definitely required two people to assemble, but like I said, I managed. It was in a ton of pieces, but fairly simple to assemble. The actual 'frame' of the desk adequately supports the super heavy and durable desk-top, which I was also unsure of at first. The colors are nice and it has some good storage. I did not attach the slider-tray for the keyboard since I would not need it. It fits perfectly in the corner in my 'office' and besides the shipping/delivery companies being failures, I am very happy with the desk! I just hope it holds up through our military PCS!

Spacious Work Area
I wanted a simple desk with a large work surface and this desk fit the bill. The colors in the description are listed as different colors when placing the order. I placed a call to Amazon's excellent customer service and they helped me figure it out. There were some issues with the delivery of the desk as the trucking company didn't have a truck small enough to get into my residential area. My only choice was to meet the driver or wait another week for delivery and unfortunately I had to wait the extra week. The desk came attached to a pallet and was very heavy. The driver was not able to help me in the house with it so he had to leave it in my garage and I had to get it into my house on my own.I was dissapointed that the desk was predominantly press board with the surface area laminated (I don't recall the product description listing the material as such). Assembly was time intensive and you defintely need two people for the job. It was suggested in a review that I read to assemble the desk as close to where you are putting it because it is so heavy. The desk is also very unstable until you have the 3 top pieces on so you don't want to move it much until then. Once the desk was completely together it is the sturdiest desk I have ever owned (although I won't be moving it...ever). The keyboard slide out is made from good materials and is the perfect height. There is ample leg room and my tall office chair fits under it as well.

Make sure you have plenty of bandaids and TAO!
First off, it's a decent desk. The biggest issues are as follows.... The pc tower cabinet is a waste for most desktop towers as it prevents air intake, and is frankly too small. The slide out rollers for the keyboard are too wobbly and are garbage. Replace them with quality purpose built ones. The bigest gripe I have with the entirety on this desk are the edges. I have cut the living crap out of my arms and hands numerous times owing to the rediculously sharp edges. The only thing not sharp is the front face of the desk. That alone makes me approach this desk with a bit of wariness....UPDATE: Three months in and the desk top is delaminating in numerous places. The top surface is not sealed well at all and it absords moisture, and the particle board does the rest. WOULD NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND!

It's too difficult to put all thsose thousands of pieces ...
It's too difficult to put all thsose thousands of pieces together. Instructions are not cleared. Even after put the pieces together, you can not move the table as its not stable. But the table and pieces are too heavy
