Good shovel - I do recommend!
Update time 30/6/25! We love updates, don’t we folks? This thing has transformed into an essential piece of kit for all my back packing and camping trips. I use it for digging a fire pit. And some of the areas I’ve been in - it just works great. Root infested swamps? No problem. Turn the thing sideways and it cuts right through them. I like my campfires neat - so I can fill them in after. I like to leave no trace! Need to knock some stuff over? Yup. Works. It’s lite and does the job. Changed my review from 4 to 5 stars. I beat this thing every other weekend or so, and it still comes back for more.Good shovel for camping. I do recommend it.It gets 4 stars because after the first time I took it out, it got a big nasty ding on it. I think it was on a rock - and I don’t know if that’s the temper on the metal or what. I have a grinder - so I fixed it - but just digging a hole - yeah. That’s the only thing I’ll say that’s negative. The shovel fits into my pack easy. I use it mainly for digging a fire pit when I’m out in the bush. I don’t go anywhere without it!Another point - it’s not heavy - and I do consider weight on my longer treks. The handle is also very solid. I didn’t want a mechanical shovel - more crap to go wrong. Overall - good shovel. You won’t regret it.

Good quality, boosts confidence.
Belt mount straps break loose drawing the shovel(had to sew them closed permanently). Shovel works great for digging cutting tree roots, heavy for cleaving enemies in half, but light enough to throw. Got complemented when wearing it.

Great throwing shovel
This thing was so fun to throw! It did break eventually but it was in the hands of a 9 year old having the time of his life. Many many adults tried and many failed to stick it. It took a lot of damage. I was an axe coach and used to let customers throw it if they could stick an axe. Would buy again

A compact tool, needed for traveling.
The shovel arrived yesterday. I needed something small to put in the back of my SUV. If we get stuck in snow or sand, and if my grandchildren desire to build sandcastles we're more prepared.

Nice durable spade with sharp edges
I like the sharp edges and compact size plus it’s a fixed blade style opposed to a foldable spade which seems more durable/ reliable. Could double as a chopping tool in a pinch. Plus the cool pouch it comes with makes it easy to attach to a backpack or molle panel .

Great tool for archeology
Perfect for archeology. Easy to use in a 1x1 or any tight spaces, sharp edge can cut through roots well.

Bought for hunting,So far so good with no testing
I like the fit and finish of this shovel. I had bought a cold steel shovel but they have fallen pretty hard.I love the sheath as it has actual hookups for carry on a pack (could be thicker for sure) and I like the tempered steel. What I dont like is the lack of weld on the neck. Even cold steel had a weld...Another thing I don't like are the pins. These need to be replaced. If you take this out and the handle break (it's wood guys it happens) you better have a way to cut those aluminum pins off to fix the handle. I'd use a screw or make some wooden pins like a dowel. Will update if anything changes for the worse.
