A tad noisy, but efficient
Let me preface this by saying: my preschooler came home with the stomach flu. This thing is plugged into my bathroom right above the toilet. No one else got said stomach flu and I will 100% believe it is because of this baby!! 5 out of 5 for that alone!!It is a bit noisy. I can definitely hear it running, but I think if I didn't hear it running, I may question whether or not it is working, so for me, not a big deal at all. It's kinda more white noise type of whirring. I suppose if there were more than one running in a smaller area, it could potentially be overwhelming with the sounds, but I'm not disappointed at all in the quality. My bathroom NEVER smells anymore and I live with 2 boys that poop like it's their JOB!!Works great and very happy with my purchase!

Exactly what I was looking for...
I needed a small, portable air purifier with a UV-C lightbulb for my bathroom and kitchen. This Homezens unit is fantastic. First of all, it has a very nice design and looks great in both rooms. It's also fairly quiet although it does make some sound. It's also a small unit (about 7.5" tall) . When plugged into the top outlet, it leaves room for another item to be plugged in below it. You can even rotate the unit if vertical space is an issue (i.e. it blocked my medicine cabinet on 1 wall; I could have rotated the unit sideways but chose to move it to a different outlet instead). Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. It not only works great, it looks great. Please see the 2 pictures of the unit that I am using in 2 different rooms.

I think it works as intended, but it has 2 design issues worth noting.
I will start with the pros: I think the device works as advertised and the UV-C light has a small air intake (fan?) to blow air around the light and sanitize it. Since UV-C requires direct light contact to be effective, this might not be the best way to clean the air in a whole room unless the air is being circulated on a much larger scale. This is simply too small to do that all by itself. It might work in a bathroom or small area, but if it goes there, then there is a whole new problem. Limited outlet availability and plug-in design issues (please read on).Regarding the design: it has a polarized plug design (meaning one plug blade is larger and the other is smaller), so it only fits in the wall outlet one way. In my case, this means the device has to go into the bottom plug on the outlet and can't go into the top plug, which also means it won't work in my bathroom outlet due to a lack of space between the outlet and the countertop. So I will use it somewhere else. I could probably live with that BUT the design also takes up enough space that the base sticks up to far into the space of the upper outlet, making the upper outlet useless too for anything except small, 2-prong plugs. So now I have 2 problems, the device has to hang down instead of up due to the polarized plug, AND I can't use the other outlet because the device sticks up and invades the upper outlet's space. The second issue really needs to be redesigned and fixed. If I could make a suggestion, I would make the polarized plug a 180-degree rotate-able plug so it could be plugged in to the upper or lower outlet, AND I would refit the case to not block the other outlet at all when it is plugged into the lower outlet.I don't have the specs for this device's power requirements (I didn't think it should be much to run a small intake fan (?) and a small UV-C lightbulb), so power polarity may simply be an extra safety item in the design, which I could live with if it didn't make both outlets so useless._________UPDATE TO THE REVIEW:__________- I don't know if the review has posted yet...I just wrote it, but I need to clarify a few items in my write-up: the polarized plug on this unit IS designed to swivel 90-degrees, so the unit can mount sideways in the outlet (it can only rotate one direction but not the other). This would allow it to fit into my bathroom plug AND would probably allow me to use the upper outlet for another item with a small plug, like a curling iron, but not my hair dryer since it also has a polarized plug with a large power supply. But I don't want to have this unit sideways in the bathroom outlet because I don't want the fan openings to face upward when my medicine cabinet is just above it (too many opportunities for water or liquids/sprays/creams to drop into it and clog it). So the swivel needs to turn 180-degrees for me to mount it the way it shows in the picture. Also, the current design would allow a small, non-grounded plug to be used in the 2nd outlet, above the unit, but even my grounded computer plug (3-prong plug) is too big to fit in the upper outlet with this unit mounted in the lower outlet, unless it is mounted sideways, which I don't want to do.The rest of my original review is listed below.____________________________________________Finally, regarding noise. We purchased 2 of these devices and neither is noiseless. The fan is pretty quiet, but it definitely makes noise...and in our case one device makes a bit more noise than the other. So we put the louder device in our entry way, where we don't need perfect peace, and put the more quiet one in the room that has a TV so it has less chance of bothering people who are relaxing and watching TV.I can't yet comment regarding any deodorizing abilities, but I plan to take one of the devices to a small beachside condo that has higher humidity and a few areas with mildew problems to see if it can help kill those spores. The air conditioning is on most of the year there, so we hope it will help circulate the air around this device more effectively. If it works, I will update the post.I bought replacement bulbs at the same time I bought these devices, since a burned out bulb means the device is no longer useful. So the bulbs are a nice, and necessary option. In all, I like the concept, and am only disappointed that I can't use these anywhere I want due to the design issues.______________________(based on a comment about my review above, I am providing another update)______I wasn't able to use this device where I planned to at the condo. I outlet in the space I wanted to use it is already fully used and the next closest outlet is tied to the ceiling light circuit (both plugs in that outlet are tied to the light switch for some reason), so I put it in another area to try. I think that space is too large to really make a difference. Also, we lowered our thermostat by a degree this year to reduce the humidity a bit more everywhere so the small shelf unit that had mildew problems last year has not had the problem this summer. I feel this change is tied more to the A/C temp reduction than the UV-C filter because the humidity is now about 12% lower everywhere than it was last year during the summer, and humidity is a HUGE factor in mildew growth (to be clear, yes, we do have 2 portable humidistats we put in different rooms to monitor the humidity throughout the condo so we are not simply guessing the levels). The 2nd unit is in the entry way and it might be working well there for 2 reasons:1) the area is smaller, so the unit has a chance to make more of a difference for that reason alone2) this area sees more changes in the environment due to the front door being opened and closed (so the entry area sees more temp variance, more humidity, more spores/pollen/etc from outside), so the filter can clean the air coming from either the house or from the outsideTo answer a question asked in the comments, I would still give it 4 stars if it can be used in the right places.I should also say, I found the company easy to deal with when I needed to engage them. That's every bit as important to me as their product quality because my measure of a company is how well they support their products and customers after the sale, and this company was very responsive.

No smells at all!
I bought this air purifier to put next to my cat box because it is always so smelly no matter what I seem to do even when it is clean always a cat smell. Since using this there is absolutely no smell whatsoever! I no longer have to be embarrassed when people come over at all and this purifier wasn’t insanely expensive and doesn’t take up space like a normal room size one does. All you do is plug it into the wall super easy to use. The only downfall is it does run 24/7 and is rather noisy. If you are comfortable listening to a white noise machine type sound all the time then this shouldn’t bother you but it is well worth it. Seriously zero smell and with it being plugged in and running all the time I was worried it would get super hot but so far so good 👍🏻

We'll See.....
Just plug in and go. I agree with other reviewers that it would be nice if the plug rotated 180. It's a nice looking piece of equipment - but I had to plug it in upside down because of the polarized plug '_' I bought one for home and one for my workspace, I'm not sure yet how well it works 'cleaning the air'. It runs audibly, but quietly, and the blue light on it is very soft, not overpowering for me. The unit does not emit a smell/scent so far.

Great product!
Our house was built in the '60's and it hangs on to odors no matter how much I clean, deodorize or sanitize. I bought four of these purifiers and within hours they eliminated cat box, dog, cooking, and musty odors. I don't know that they kill germs but I certainly hope so! I only had to plug them in, no assembly required, and I love that they are not a floor unit that takes up space; plus, I can move them to other rooms. We now have five purifiers and have been using them for about a week. I hope they work as well for the long run!
