Good Unit
I have had this unit for about 2 weeks now and it is working well. I do have 1 minor issue and that is the GPS is a bit laggy. But that could be where the GPS antenna is located. I do like the backgrounds you can choose from. parts of the screen can be hard to see during the day if you ware sunglasses. But at night looks great. It is not blinding at night. But so far so good.Ok it's been a year or so now using this and it still working great. And I nearly caught my vehicle on fire due to bad wiring job I did for my fog lights. Fuses are important. I melted some of the wires on the radio and it'd still running. Now on really cold days the radio does need some time to worm up. But over all still a great radio.

I installed this unit in a 2003 GMS Sonoma. Double DIN fit very well, small modification required due to depth of unit. Overall I would rate this unit an 9 out of 10.PROSRotary volume control, in my opinion much easier to use over push buttons (either hardware or on screen software buttons)The GPS button will toggle between the active audio source and the GPS software--NiceRadio function and graphic excellentSound equalization and tone controls excellentiPod function and graphic very goodCD function-nothing special, it just worksDVD function-again nothing special, it just works--excellent pictureAUX-IN--I use the rear audio AUX-IN to listen to an external satellite radio receiver. This function works wellBluetooth function-phone book transfers to unit, accepts calls from any audio/navigation mode, switches to Bluetooth function for call then returns to previous mode. Bluetooth music function works well, with play, next, previous and pause supported. No display of file/song name. Overall rating very goodRear Camera-I added a license plate mounted rear view camera which functions very well with this unit--excellentGPS Navigation--Over all I give this function a very good to excellent. I have the external GPS antenna mounted on top of the dash (antenna cable not long enough to route to the outside the truck). USA maps appear to reasonably up to date. Navigation routing--average. I have seen better routes and most certainly have seen worse. Over all pleased with the GPS function.CONSUSB/SD MP3 audio function-this is a letdown. Sound is good, but graphic and file navigation leave a lot to be desired. Unit does not properly display long file names which makes navigation difficult. I give this function a mediocre ratingUSB/SD Video function. Very poor. I have yet to find a file format that the unit can read.Front AUX-IN too close to the volume control as is the front USB inputBoot time. From the time power is applied, it takes about 6 seconds for this unit to boot to the last audio input (radio, AUX-IN, etc.) active before previous power-off. Then it takes another 10 seconds for the GPS software to boot.Considering price/performance of this unit, I would purchase again for second vehicle and would recommend it to a friend.

Good Radio, POOR customer support
I purchased the system for my daughters Ranger, it fit well with minor expected modifications. The problems began when I could not (and have not) figures out what all the extra wires are for. I contacted Boss thru their website, a few days later I got an email reply asking for a contact number for a rep to call. THEY NEVER called. 2 more trouble tickets later and ZERO response. We also found out the Nav system would not work and submitted on that as well with the same... NOTHING. We ended up returning the item and going with a different radio.I am sure if BOSS would have made a simple phone call or even replied to my help request all would have come out differently.

Great for an "inexpensive" unit with all the small features.
For the price that I paid for it, this unit is very nice. The various abilities and features really set the unit up nicely. I installed the unit myself and went step by step in every YouTube video I could find. It was pretty simple to install in my 2002 Honda Accord Coupe. The only real labor that had to be done during the install was that I drilled through the side of my glove compartment to store my Ipod which adds a more cleaner look than if it just hung out of the front. I did have a few problems with the unit itself. One time it completely froze up on me and so I had to click the little reset button which was a small pain, but no big deal. The other problem was that the power/menu button stopped working on me, but I broke the warranty seal and quickly fixed it, as the rubber had just slid and did not need any real repairs. The last issue is updating the GPS, it tells you a site and gives you directions nut if is still incomprehensible to me, but the gps still works without updates. Other than those few minor problems the unit is great and performs to my expectations daily. Sometimes there are small glitches and whatnot, but I don't expect it to be the best top of the line unit. Although I do love watching movies also.

Best Bang for your buck.
I had this Boss stereo for the past six months and it works great. Features like hands free talking through Bluetooth, Android and IPhone compliant and SD card reader are some of my favorite features. My kids play music from their phone wireless and they love this system. The navigation can be a bit touchy but works okay. Cold weather will cause a slight delay before you can hear some music. Other than that I say save yourself some money and get this system. Best bang for your buck.

This thing is awesome
Beautiful screen, very receptive touch screen, bluetooth works perfectly with my phone (makes calls and streams musically loud and clear). Comes with a GPS receiver and bluetooth mic, both of which run a cord (about 7ft of cord) which was plenty long enough to run through my dash, down by the drivers feet and back up the side to the top of my dash/steering wheel (GPS/Bluetooth). GPS takes a minute or two to load but I only plan to use for long distance so not a concern. only gripe, radio doesn't seem to scan, had to keep hitting next, next, next, to set my station preferences. DVD works nice as well, electric tape the pink parking brake wire and you can let your kids watch while driving (versus have to engage the parking brae to watch… not recommended while driving).Recommended! got everything you need for $300 versus your other $600 competitors.
