Best lightweight seat on the market
This seat is awesome! It’s extremely lightweight so I was a little concerned with durability when we initially took it out of the box, but once clamped onto the bike, it’s super sturdy. Fits both my husband’s Specialized Allez and my Specialized Vita with no trouble. Took less than 15 minutes from unboxing to being on the road for our first ride. It fits our 1-year old perfectly on the lower strap setting and the magnetic buckle is genius. The only small improvement would be a chest buckle in addition to the magnetic one, but definitely not a deal breaker for us. The little guy couldn’t squirm out of the straps once tightened properly, but just a heads up for other mini-Houdini’s. Neither one of us had any trouble with heel strikes on the side flaps, but my 6-ft husband did say he had to adjust his footing just a bit to how he normally rides to avoid it, but said it wasn’t uncomfortable at all- just a different foot placement than if he were road riding alone. Most importantly, the little one LOVED it! He giggled and chatted the whole ride and was very comfy in the seat. This is the third seat we looked at and by far the best.

Customized to avoid heal strikes
Great product. Easy to install. My 1 year old fits comfortably in this child seat. Straps keep her snug and she loves the ride! It’s hard to avoid your heals hitting the child foot protection panels at the bottom of the seat. It’s going to happen, even if you raise the seat as high as possible and as far back as possible. You can see in my photos that I customized the panels to avoid the heal strikes… I cut two small holes in each panel, inserted a small velcro strap, and strapped the sides of seat to the bike frame (see blue Velcro straps). I’m sure the Thule engineers are appalled at my work around job… But it did the trick perfectly and now - no more heals hitting the seat when pedaling! Overall: I give this five stars and I’m glad I chose this model!

NOT COMFORTABLE!
I specifically bought this seat because it states the seat has soft padding for child comfort. The seat does not have soft padding. It has HARD, painted, scratchy, styrofoam. The harness pads are more ‘comfortable’ (I use that term loosely) than the seat. The harness pads are made with an extremely thin foam. The seat they sit on seems like a hard plastic-y foam (very weird). For the price, you’d definitely think their would be actual comfort. I would not recommend if you want comfort. Stick to a regular plastic seat.

Nice bike seat but...
I love the seat, unfortunately the angle of the way that it is hitted the rear wheel in both of the bikes (Trek Roscoe 7 and GT Agressor pro) that were ok to be used. Had to come with an idea of something strong but flexible to put in between the frame and the iron in order to have a better angle and the seat not to touch the wheel when bumping.

Lightweight and fairly solid but has a few issues
WEIGHT RATING: I was dying to buy this thing because it had the highest weight rating and the mount on my previous Bell model wore out. It indicated it was supposed to hold up to 48.5 pounds. Then a few weeks later they changed the rating to 40 pounds. Apparently they were using a European rating system before, which is still stamped on the seat, but the US ASTM rating they added is only 40 pounds. So that explains the change-up. I kept it because it is rated really well by others and the support bars are a little thicker than my Bell, so I am hoping it is still a little stronger. How much weight is actually safe...who knows?FIT: When I finally got in on the bike (Cannondale racing bike), my heels contacted the side shields with about every stroke. The bell doesn’t have these side shields so it was new to me. If your pedals are farther apart then you might be OK. The centers of my heels are about 10.5 to 11” apart. So the only way to make it work was to push the seat back almost all the way. When you do that the seat is less stable which defeats the purpose a bit.STABILITY: Having said that, overall I think it is a little more stable than my Bell. It would just be nice to move the child forward and have it be really stable. I may try to heat the plastic shields and bend them inward a bit to correct the issue. You could tape it inward but that would look pretty bad.LOCKING HARNESS MECHANISM: They have a unique magnetic lock that takes two hands to operate to ensure the child cannot undo it. I am an engineer and struggled with it at first but got the hang of it after a few tries. I was probably being dumb, and could have benefitted from reading the manual. It is easy enough now, but it still takes two hands so it can be hard to balance the bike and undo the buckle. If you have a kick stand you should be fine. It’s worth the fuss for the safety aspect.MOUNT LOCK: This seems like a cool feature to prevent someone from stealing your seat but I haven’t used it and am not sure it’s necessary.HEAD REST: This was a feature I didn’t realize I was missing on my Bell. The top of the seat arches back so the helmet doesn’t force the child’s head down and have them stare at the ground the whole ride. On my Bell we were not so fortunate. Once the older daughter grew enough she was fine on the Bell, but the baby does fine on the Thule even though she is small. That is much better for her neck and entertainment...staring at the ground probably made her neck stiff and bored.Overall it works really well for my 22 pound daughter, but sways a little when you ride with the 35 pound daughter. It takes some time to get comfortable with the sway but it does seem fine now that I know what to expect after two different seats.

Product is great, seller sent beat up box
The product is great. First time using this kind of setup. Easy to install and adjust. Most importantly, my toddler son enjoyed the comfortable ride. I could not be happier with the product. However, the box was destroyed. The product had been certainly opened before as the cardboard box staples were all opened and torn. A flimsy packing tape was used to reseal the box. Nevertheless, the box came open, chewed up and looks to me like a returned item. Beware of this seller, buy this from REI or directly from Thule

Quick and easy to install
Works great on my Kona Process 134, I have it mounted to my seat post with no issues.

Great option if it fits your bike
The seat is light weight and still sturdy. Unfortunately, I was not able to evaluate long term durability and comfort, but I like overall design and magnetic buckle. Also, the quick release mechanism allows you quickly relocate bike seat between multiple bikes equipped with connector (extra connectors sold separately). Quick Release Bracket is relatively compact and stealthy, while no bike seat installed.Installation is straight forward if it fits your bike. Unfortunately, it is not going to work on bikes with low seat position, like my wife’s Specialized Roll. The metal tube is not long enough to clear the 650 b tire and seat would prevent quick release mechanism from disengaging. There is Low Saddle Adapter for RideAlong model, but it does not seam to be compatible with Yepp Nexxt Maxi.Packaging is not great – the box has irregular shape and often damaged in shipping, so mine arrived taped, and shipping back was not easy.

Cyclists feet clips side frame of mount
Great product and my 2nd seat, but my heels clip the side frame of the seat mount. Might be my type of mountain bike, but I must angle my heels outwards to miss them.
