***UPDATE 2/14/2023***THEY NO LONGER MAKE THIS PRODUCT and I'm pretty broken up about it. The alternative to this is a far inferior product - Joint Mobility GLM - which seems to be a combination of this and Canine Complete, which is essentially a multivitamin. That'd be fine, because I usually use both products anyway, except a one pound jar of this product is roughly two months worth, but a one pound jar of the Joint Mobility GLM isn't even three weeks worth because the dose is THREE TIMES MORE for that product that for this one. The only other alternative is the regular Run Free, which is shockingly made with shark cartilage - an ethical issue that I would have liked to think that a company like Wholostic Pet Organics would know better than to use considering the harm that shark fishing does to the ecosystem. Bummed that I'll now need to find a different company to purchase from, or just end up buying human grade supplements for my dog. What a shame.My three year old American Bulldog collided with a tree at full speed when she was about a year and a half old, injuring her hip and knee. She's had a limp ever since, and sprinting, running, or playing hard (as bulldogs tend to do) would leave her basically unable to use the leg for the next few days. Even going for an easy, gentle stroll through the woods would leave her sore and unable to walk up the stairs when we got home. It was pretty heartbreaking to see a young dog who wants to be active unable to do much except lay down.I use WPO's Canine Complete and have loved their products since I stepped foot in their Bedford NH location more than a decade ago, but was put off by the price of a one pound tub of this stuff. Let's be honest, it's expensive! But I've given her other hip and joint supplements with absolutely no improvement, and after watching her try to play but being obviously hindered by a painful leg, I broke down and bought this** as a last ditch effort to help her be a normal active adolescent.Hoo boy! In less than a week, she's no longer limping! She's back to zooming around the yard and wrestling with her doggy brother, and she can still walk, take stairs, and jump on the bed by herself afterwards! This supplement, **along with Canine Matrix joint blend**, has given her back her energy and ability to PLAY and be a normal pup again! I am so thankful to WPO for this supplement that's worth every penny!

Great supplement that worked perfectly for my aging German Shepherd after three days of use by the recommended dose! Very happy about the product itself.Being an expensive product I wanted to measure the the claimed net contents weight of 454 mg (1 lb). However, the true net contents was 408mg!I don’t know if this is deliberate or an innocent snafu in the production process.The product itself is very satisfactory, so I will order again. Should the net contents be less than stated again I will be contacting the manufacturer.The reason for the 4 as opposed to a 5 star review is the net contents issue, not the product itself, which is a clear 5 stars.

I take joint supplements myself, so I know how the efficacy is subtle and becomes known over time. And I have no doubt it'll be the same for my dogs. But this stuff is a bigger hit with them than just about anything I've ever tried! Oh my, when I show them their food with this on, the excitement is extreme. Lots of drooling, lots of wide-eyes and bouncing. I first used it just on the dog with troubles in his hip; but then I felt sorry for the other dog for missing out on something so delicious, so now she gets it too. If your dog likes fishy stuff, this is a hands down winner. And the ingredient list is a knockout; much superior to the product my dog's surgeon had recommended, with none of the things my dog is allergic to. They dance with happiness when I get out the container; then gobble it up and polish the dish! I highly recommend this one. Vastly superior product; well done!

Got this for my Shiba puppy prone to breed-specific knee and hip issues. He loves the flavor. Not sure if this worked too well he’s now 2 years old weighs 30 lbs! Big and active, runs like a horse

Run free has definitely helped my senior dog which suffers with IVDD. I have noticed an incredible change in her behavior.

Owning a large breed during puppyhood to adolescent stages is the best time to begin a supplement such as Run Free ! Used this product on my previous large breed dog until he left for heaven ! Great company great product! If your pup or dog has a limp during growth spurts and has no injury- this product reduces inflammation and growth pains!
