It works great, I use it in my yard, my potted plans inside and out and no longer rely on my finger to guess need for watering. Sadly it was in the wrong place and was run over . I am going to order the longer one for my outside plants. I'm a senior and bending over to see outside plants is not so easy. But I love it

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Fantastic meter. Very simple and mechanical, needs no batteries, no fancy electronics that are likely to break. Just shows me if my potatoes and tomatoes need to be watered when I can't get my finger blindly all the way down into my grow bags. Zero issues, easy to use, and one of the most useful gardening tools I've ever bought.

When we first tried the water meter, everything we tested came back dry. I probably overwatered our vegetable garden due to this reason. I contacted the company as was suggested and not Amazon. The company replied to my email and sent me a new one in a very timely fashion and it actually works. I did notice that each water meter has a different tip so perhaps that is why the first one was faulty. The new one (top) has a metal tip unlike the first one (bottom) which I believe is plastic.

I have gone through a lot of moisture meters in my day, and this one is, hands down, the best. It is the only one I've ever seen that allows you to bend the head 1°-90° to view the results without turning yourself into a pretzel to view it. At first, I wondered if it would easily wear out after a few bendings, but it has done well so far. (I've had it several months). I also like that this meter is a single probe. The single probe meters are a good bit easier to pierce the soil smoothly, although it's possible that you can test for more attributes with the double probes.

I bought this moisture meter to prevent my plants from becoming gnat infested again due to overwatering. So far it seems to be registering accurately and is easy to use. It does not seem to be cheaply made and works well.

This is the perfect tool to help a gardener know when plants need to be watered. Thus wont over water and or underwater
