An Amazing Work
This book is outstanding. All the information i need to study the impact of Pressure point striking. My only advice to practitioners would be to learn the healing and martial aspects of this field simultaneously. Learning only the martial technique can be a bit unbalancing IME and there is also the matter of practicality and learning. You can practice using and learning this points more often and acquire a deeper under standing if you practicing healing with them....while practicing striking them is very limited in the sense that you don't want to cause long term harm to your partners or to start stacking a pile of dead bodies at your door. You may be doing massive amounts of damage to yourself and not even know it if you haven't cultivated your subtle sense to feel the impact of these strikes. Practice very very very gently.I'm using a companion book with the healing uses of Acupressure points so that i am learning both sides of the coin as i trek through the system.

Great book if you know about meridian points
I have a couple years background in the martial arts so it's nice to see a clearly drawn out explanation of the long term impacts of using these strikes. The diagrams were good references and the explanations described the application of these techniques. I would point out simply that you need to use caution when using these techniques. It would of been nice to see more visual representations of these strikes, techniques, and meridian lines. But the material is very complex so I understand why the author used more verbage than pictures. Overall it's a great aid to have while training! I look forward to adding this to my collection.

Overwhelmed!
This is the most complete compendium I have ever found. I had to order more for my friends. Drawing, pictographs, and descriptive text, both technical and "layman terms", provide a clear image of each point and its effect. A must have for anyone with an interest. If developing your own martial arts style, an absolute!

Essential reading for the student of Kyusho Jitsu or Dim Mak
This book is one of the best books I have read on pressure point self defence. There is a wealth of information on each point, their location, method of attack (angle, direction etc.). For anyone learning Kyusho Jitsu or Dim Mak the three books by Michael Patrick:Pressure Point AtlasAdvanced Martial Science: Volume 1: A Text for GrandmastersAdvanced Martial Science: Volume 2: A Text for Grandmastersare essential reading.

Excellent
Was looking for something as a present and couldn't find much that covered this often badly explained topic. Excellent (as far as I can tell as a novice) notes and drawings to explain.Better than many I have looked at
