I connected a GeForce RTX 2060 into the slot and then plugged the ribbon into the spare m.2 slot on my Intel Hades NUC. Worked first time, no issues. Booted up, did a driver updates automatically (Windows 10) rebooted and there was my 2060 working very well indeed. The biggest problem I had was finding a path out of the case for the M.2 ribbon cable but after a bit of warming gently with a hot air gun and bending the cable, I got an acceptable result without modding the case. Interesting solution for adding a fast GPU to a small form factor PC or laptop and both much cheaper and much faster than a thunderbolt caddy.
