The Enchanted Forest: Memories of Maryland's Storybook Park Hardcover – August 13, 2013

What a fantastic book for those who went to The Enchanted Forest as kids and even took their own kids when they married. What a great history book on this Enchanted Land, and it's still there for all to see (ON THE OUTSIDE). What great memories come back while reading this book! Get it, if you're a Marylander and or live in the Baltimore/Washington area, OR have ever been there! Fun!

Beautifully written account of a favorite childhood haunt. I loved learning the founders of Enchanted Forest insisted it be for all children - fully integrated - from day one! It’s same spirit lives on at historic Quaker farm in Columbia, MD. A total readable delight down memory lane!

Wow! Such love and first hand knowledge went into this! Loved the Enchanted Forest as a kid...but it closed when i was 5-6. So my memories are vague. This really was a superb and well written history of the park, and the "afterwards'!

As a child, my parents would take my siblings and I to the Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City, MD. This book brought back all of those fond memories of riding the Mother Goose train, going down the rainbow slide, and seeing all the nursery rhyme characters. It took me down a wonderful Memory Lane.

I well remember walking through the Forest when I was just a little girl. I have pictures of my mother & I outside the crooked house. I remember we had my cousin Linda with us one time. I loved that place...it fed my imagination before Disney came around. I suppose that they were simpler times when it didn't take much to delight a small child, but would that we could all go back there and see it as it was.

This book meant so much to me. The nostalgia brought tears to my eyes. It was in excellent condition. Thanks. We need the Enchanted Forest now more than ever.
