Good set, good price
As a tool and die apprentice i need accurate tools without breaking the bank. Shars does just that. Just double check your zero when you change the rod and your good to go.

Accurate to .001
Works well BUT pins fall right out of checking something vertically and have a useless taper that makes it hard to check narrow surfaces.

Good value .
Was shocked how good this is for the price. If you know how to adjust the zero they passed inspection at my work.

Ends are rounded, not advertised very prominently.
That’s my biggest complaint. Seemed nice otherwise. Even came with a hand signed certification of accuracy. Didn’t test accuracy, just returned immediately. I’m upset about the minuscule line in the description. I need flat ended rods to measure ledges.

THE ROD TIPS ARE ROUNDED NOT FLAT!
Way over price for an almost unusable depth gage. I wish they would have mentioned that in there description of this depth micrometer set had fully rounded tip and not flat tip. I would never bought it. Waist of money.

Mediocre. They are ok if you have a large tolerance.
I have the 0-6" set and they are mediocre. Doesn't stay calibrated. Everytime you change the measurement rod it has to be recalibrate and even then it's not trustworthy. Mitutoyo is the best for depth mics.

Better than calipers
Better than calipers because of the larger "flat" reference surface but using the rachet yields the advertised +- 0.0002 precision. BTW, the rachet was disassembled upon arrival (2 collars, a spring, a screw, and a barrel floating in an unsealed plastic bag.
