Being Lutheran Today: A Layperson’s Guide to Our History, Belief and Practice

This book will tell you everything you ever wanted or needed to know about Lutherans. "Being Lutheran Today" would be a great resource for anyone considering becoming a Lutheran; however, I am a life- long Lutheran and I find this book most helpful in providing information on topics that I and other life-long Lutherans may look to for clarification when sharing our beliefs. While its subtitle calls it a layperson's guide, I can see multiple uses for it in any congregation. Its easy- to- read format and its great organization of material make it perfect for instruction at many levels. This one's a keeper for individuals and congregational libraries.

Gives a good history and basics of the Lutheran religion, very interesting.

Pastor Edwards was my Pastor at Pomaria Lutheran. This book explains everything you need to know about being a Lutheran. A good resource book for anyone who wants to have a refresher course on the Apostle Creed, Holy Communion, Holy Baptism, etc. An amazing book.

All too often I find myself put off by the negative reviews here on Amazon. You come so close to buying an item with 4.5 stars, only to see one-star reviews that make it sound terrible! Wondering if it's a scam or something, you skip the purchase.This is my boilerplate review saying that, YES, I bought this item and it worked for me without a hitch.If I've left this here then I'm trying to make up for low reviews that didn't reflect my experience.
