I picked this up as an addon for my camping supplies.
ok what i like about it- small- runs on gas, easy to light...what I don't like - glass and frame look easy to break (it's in my bag and I haven't broke it yet)...the mantels. and finally the price. I paid over $20. and I'm seeing it on Ali express and TEMU (I don't use either site btw) but $3.73/$8.18- I feel kind of ripped. I notice rate price isn't an option...and I don't usually complain about pricing, but I feel a little cheated on the price. Over all I think it's a pretty good camping light. GL!

Mixture too ritch, burns yellow
The media could not be loaded. I tried 4 different mantles, the one that came with this is terrible. The gas/air mixture is way too rich, this means it burns yellow but when turned up only gets slightly brighter but puts out a large orrange flame around the mantle. When walking around without the glass, I can see the lamp burning brighter where the air contacts it, proving there is too much gas and too little air going through the regular. The orange base looks like the one on my gas stove, I'm guessing the jet is way too big but there is no way of getting to it.I have three stoves like this but wanted a small, light version, this would fit the bill if it worked. The photos are misleading since they make the lamp look much brighter than it is. Truth is it's yellow and dim compared to any other I have seen before. The quality of the base is fine (if it were tuned for a lamp). The top is terrible quality and a poor design. The chain that hangs the lamp will fail, if it's even on in the first place.

Great experience except for the "carry case" that lantern comes in...
Not high quality but it does work. But the carry case is nothing short of a Joke at best. The carfy case was isn't Made to LAST.If you purchase this make sure and know that you'll need to get a better carry case for it. I got a different case and feel better now that I know it won't get broken in the new storage case. I bought it separately for this Lantern. It it super small and it's compact, so it's easy to transport it as needed. I'd buy it Again if it was on sale for $12.00 to $14.00 dollars. But I would not pay more then that amount of money for this lantern after seeing the carry case that came with it. Other then that it works okay.

Light compacted.
As advertised. Very illuminating. A supply of mantels are recommended.

Good value for the cost
Not a high quality item, but for the cost it is good and does the job. Small and light, perfect extra light source especially if you are bringing butane cans with you already.

Yes connecting mantles are hard due to size but very nice product
This is nice to use at night in a tent or table. Not sure about this warmth rating thought? I did not expect it to heat anything LOL. However this is a nice light weight to have item for any camper or off grid person. Mantles are tuff to find but Mid west i found a place searching duck duck go and got 4 sets to have for stock. Works well and stays light. I would recommend.

Two lanterns returned.
Used for outdoor lighting. First lantern was missing the bottom gasket and caught on fire. Also, the lid is flimsy and easy to bend. In addition, don't use propane! Adapter or not you'll have a hard time adjusting the flame from zero to torch! Mantles don't last.

Junk - Messed up out of the box and does not perform.
The one provided mantle was ruined out of the box. A Coleman #51 mantle or equivalent is required. These mantles have drawstrings at top and bottom, to be tightened into the detente (‘hooks’) at top & bottom of the gas outlet stem. The top string comes drawn up and tied off without being attached to the top of the gas outlet stem (ruined), so shaping and securing before burn is impossible. When correctly attached these mantles should shape a little like a flying saucer <>. This particular lantern is junk. With new #51 mantle installed, the gas flow adjustment is very problematic, just a hair between ‘off’ and ‘WFO’, with a 10 inch column of fire coming off the top of the lantern. The orifices allow a very irregular flow pattern that prevents even distribution into the mantle so light emmission is ‘spotty’. Don’t buy it thinking that YOU will be lucky or smart enough to make it work as it should. There are other lanterns at this price point that do work well.
