After reading horror stories of pet carriers on airlines opening allowing the animals to escape...when I was in the military, I replaced those cheap plastic turn key "screws" that came with my pet carriers with these. Most pet door cages are kept in place only by how tight and secure the top and bottom of the pet carrier are together. I've had many pet carrier brands and they all use cheap fasteners unless you buy a big dog pet carrier and they use metal screws because they have to. I don't need a huge pet carrier for a cat or small dog but I wanted metal secure screws and this are prefect.Delta zip ties closed the door to the carrier to prevent opening also. BRING ZIP TIES to the airport so after they inspect the cage and pet...zip tie close the door to prevent stupid employees from opening it to 'pet the cat / dog" or get a closer look at it if it is a unique looking pet like a no-fur cat or dog. Curiosity by airline employees opening the door to peek at it will get the cat / dog killed if it escapes while door is opened.Pros1. comes with 8 screw tops and 2 different sizes of screws...8 of each size (16 total) (there are 8 holes around pet carriers).2. very secure. If the airlines drops the cage onto that conveyor belt going into the plane or down from the plane or accidently drops the whole carrier (or you do) and it falls to the ground...that is where those cheap plastic fasteners fail...but these metal ones will not.3. I have several sized pet kennels,different brands. This product fit two of my kennels perfectly, with round hole openings. It is more secure now and I am pleased with how easy it was to replace.

These were exactly what I needed to replace some missing hardware on my cat carrier. They arrived quickly and were what I expected.

Quick shipment and very easy delivery. I would give it a five star rating if it came with enough hardware for the entire cage. I had five holes that I had to use the plastic hardware that came with the cage. I just spaced them out on the cage. The airline had no issues with the cage not having every hole filled with metal fasteners. I used Lufthansa as my shipper for my three cats. The cages arrived in the Middle East intact and no hardware missing. Thanks.

Bought 2 sets of these (in blue metal) through a different site, and DryFur shipped super fast.The metal nuts fit perfectly with the existing metal bolts on one carrier, and with another carrier that had all plastic twist and lock bolts, the replacement metal bolts and nuts worked well.
